A friend of mine keeps hearing voices in his head.

It told him to kill himself..and it also told him he was a screw-up who didn't deserve to live.
It also made him almost drown...it told him it wanted to die, and he nearly drowned when our school was at a waterpark yesterday.

He knows it's a voice in his head, he doesn't know what it is.
And I don't think is Schizophrenia.

my mother had back surgery a month ago for spinal stenosis. After they went in they realized it was a pinched nerve and corrcted the problem (so they say), So far she has had the same pain in her back and lower extremities, she can barely walk. To add to the inconvienance, her wound is not healing up ....has anyone ever had back surgery with these problems? I feel sorry for her, but i think she's given up, she wishes for a miracle but with every surgery, she seems to get worse.

Personally, I don't think it is. I think it's an excuse to put blame on something else rather than taking responsibility for their actions.

What do you think?

I had a thrombosed external hemorroid excised/drained in Feb. 2007. I was pregnant at the time and had my baby at end of February. The hemorroid is no longer thrombosed but is still there. I was wondering if anyone out there has had the surgery to remove this? Apparently surgery is one of the few options left to remove an external hemorroid that has persisted after home treatments. Any advice and perspective on this would be appreciated. Thank you!

ive known that i have scoliosis for...almost 2 years now. as soon as we found out, i started doin specific exercises..and it got better. a couple of months ago i had some x-rays taken and the angle was 21 degrees . ive been wearing braces for 1 year and a half, i recently had the second one made. im seeing a physician regulary and im in ... rehab, is it? not sure what its called. this lady im doing the exercises with says im gettin better, but every time i look in the mirror it seems worse...i can tell from the curves that are supposed to be equal at the waist line...i dont really know if the new brace is actually helping me in any way. i know the old one pushed so that the spine would be kept in a straight position, but i think this one is built more to keep it as it already is. i believe its gettin worse because my posture is slowly deteriorating as well...ive seen 2 diff doctors and they all say i should be out of the brace, but its worse WITH the brace...

My 2 year old started being sick yesterday morning, ended up doing it about 6 or 7 times during the day, he couldn't keep any food or drink down.

So got the Doctor out who said it was a viral thing, sickness without diarroha, he hasn't got a temperature and he said we should give him 'gastric rest' (no food) so his stomach can settle and he would be OK.

Today he hasn't been sick (but then he has hardly eaten anything), but has slept all day, all he has eaten is a tiny piece of toast.

Obviously we are worried about him, if he is still like it tomorrow we are thinking of getting the Doctor back out.

Has anyone had any similar experiences or have any idea when he will start to feel better?

Can anyone explain what does it mean to have a prognosis of "guarded" when related to rheumatoid arthritis?, my rheumatologist filled some forms for disability insurance and wrote guarded as the prognosis. I did not see it until I got home and my next appmt is in 4 weeks. Anyone knows what a more elaborated way of explaining the prognosis would be. Thanks.

Maybe I laugh too much. No, the disorder is
not cancer. You just "siphon off enough gas
to fill tanker" over a period of years.

And it has nothing to do with red meat, beans,
or the cost of analysis over at abut dot calm.

And whatever Brother Redeye said about
you know what. I also heard Pisa leans this way.
