You should look for th cause of your panic. Panic can be the result of excessive stress like job stress, bereavement, relationship stress. You can change jobs or get out of a relationship if it is bad. Panic attacks can also be caused by abruptly stopping certain medications (withdrawal symptoms) or as adverse reaction or side effect of medications. Use of sleep aids can cause panic attacks either as a side effect or day time withdrawal effect. Panic attacks can also be a withdrawal effect from alcohol. You should figure out the cause of your panic attacks rather than just trying to mask the symptoms with a drug.

I felt the same way when they first prescribed it to me , but really only the first few times i took it was the only times i felt super grogy and i was on .5 when i first started taking it. I have sever panic attacks and trust me when i say that you will feel so much better after you take it. If you are really afraid to take it try to break it in half , then wait about 30 minutes to an hour then take the other half , then once you see it wont hurt you then you wont be so afraid to take it. Good luck!

Go ahead and take it when you are feeling really anxious...it will help. You just feel kind of cozy and relaxed. I would just caution you not to take them all the time because they cause dependence.
