This is the person who SWORE I would NEVER use a enema, never, ever, I tell you, never. Then they gave me the morphine for the Arthritis and three months into it, severe constipation, I mean severe, I mean put a rubber glove on and pull it out because this is uncomfortable. I then had to BEG my Mother to give me one of her enema's and off I went to the cloakroom. I inserted it, held on for ten minutes, which is good and then THE RELIEF! Oh the relief, it was mighty.
If you are begging for anything you are begging for the enema and forget sedation because the feeling is unbearable. However the relief, big smile on my face for a week. I got over my fear, you will too if the situation is desperate.

IF I WAS YOU I WOULD GIVE MYSELF AN ENEMA OR HAVE SOMEONE GIVE ME ONE BECAUSE I KNOW ABOUT THE PAIN THAT A PERSON EXPERIENCES WHEN A PERSON CAN'T DEFECATE. DON'T TRY THE DISPOSABLES AS THEY PROBABLY WON'T WORK, BUY YOU AN ENEMA BAG THAT HOLDS AT LEAST 2 QUARTS. NO BULB SYRINGE SOLD FOR AN ENEMA.

I don't think so. It is just a simple pain free procedure but obviously you can feel some discomfort from the back side.
