I'm 35 and have had MS symptoms for two yrs. I have seen three neurologists, two MRI's, and one spinal tap. The MRI's showed lesions, but the spinal was negative. I was told by one doctor that I have mild symptoms of MS. I am not on any meds. I have headaches, fatigue, dizzy spells, twitching (only while laying down or sitting) pains, occasional difficulty using fingers. I know these symptoms does not always mean MS, but I have not felt better for two yrs. I've had my blood checked twice for lupus and other diseases and all is normal. I am about to see a fourth neurologist. I just want some closure to this annoying mystery. Any comments?? Thanks!

Most MS patients go through what you are going through, unfortunately. MS is a diagnosis of elimination - first they eliminate all the mask pretenders and then you get a diagnosis. By the time you get a diagnosis you are actually relieved!!! Go to the National MS Society and the MS Foundation sites for more info...

I hope for your sake that whatever your problem is, you get a dx soon (preferably for a disease that has a cure!!)

You may want to research Mitochondrial and Metabolic Disorders. It is a class of diseases. Some share symptoms however the mechanisms vary greatly. Many neurologists are not aware of the different ones and some do not have any verified treatments. Specialists are few and are located in different regions of the country. You can look it up on the internet.

I have a disease that can mimic MS. It can be with or without Lupus, and a blood test can diagnos, especially as you have leisions. The medical name is Antiphospholipid Syndrome. I have this and so few Drs, consider testing for this. Though considered rare, it is not. Best of luck to you, I share many of your symptoms. This site is good for information.
