I have a vestibular problem and I've consulted two sources. One source says it is benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. The other says it is Meniere´s disease.

The thing is, according to what I've seen, BPPV is only precipitated by head movements. My vertigos can be worsened or precipitated by sudden movement, yes, but I will also get really nasty vertigos with no movement at all. I will be sitting, looking at my computer screen only to find myself unable to sit up straight and just fall over to the side. These episodes last up to a minute or two, then it will subside somewhat, leaving me terribly tired and so on for a few hours. Often while I'm getting these episodes, I'll get them several times a day. The nastiest vertigos are the sudden ones with no movement to trigger them.

At any rate, I'd like to know... can these sudden vertigos be because of BPPV or can Meniére's disease have vertigo worsened by movement? Which is more likely to be causing my vertigos? Thanks.

New legislation now permits surgeons to do this - whereas before (in the UK this is) they had to get permission of the next of kin regardless of the dead persons orginal wishes.

I keep reading these heartbreaking stories of girls who know what they're doing is killing them but still say they can't bring themselves to eat, when they're hospitalised they are virtually force fed and put on enough weight to get out of hospital, then stop eating again. Isn't there some way of developing a cannabis based medicine to encourage an appetite. I defy anyone after a spliff to not get the munchies and eat the cupboards bare!!

I don't know where my son got it from but he is left handed. My dad, mom, me and my wife her parents are all right handed. I don't want my son to suffer with this handicap for the rest of his life and be made fun of at school. What should I do?

I've had Fibromyalgia for years. Now I'm going through menopause and my FMS pain is worse, but when I showed my pain specialist, he said all the places I'm showing him feel like swollen lymph nodes. If so, it's everywhere. I've had so many tests, MRI's etc., and no answer. I'm super sensitive to pain. My liver, gall bladder, etc. are all fine. I do have spinal problems/injuries, TMJ and a bunch of physical problems. Also something with the last word of neuropathy? (Skin feels bruised everywhere). I know people can't tell without patient history, etc. and a check up, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has this pain. I also get very stiff after laying down for an hour or so and can barely move. It's extremely painful. I'm on a lot of pain meds, but they don't touch this pain. Thanks in advance.

I am epileptic, and have been diagnosed with Migraine headaches. For the past few weeks I have been experiencing major pain and dizziness, along with Blurred vision and even loss of vision momentarily. My arms and legs have been twitching involuntarily. I feel extremely tired and weak. I am concerned for my heath and feel like my doctor is just shrugging it off as migraine headaches.
