I Have MMD and was medically dismissed from the Army with no benefits(even thought i had no symptoms before i joined). I was wondering if anyone else here has MMD or anything kinda like it. I work at the VA hospital now, and at the end of the day I am wiped out. I am starting to have severe problems with my hands and feet, and i'm wondering what is going to happen to me. I know i can read about it on the internet, but i was hoping to get some responses from people who also have it. I'm currently 26, but i feel like i'm 50. Is there anything i can do to stop my deterioration, or anything to at least make me feel better?

Does anyone know if the two could be connected. She has tried weight watchers and various other diets etc but nothing seems to work and she does stick to the do's and don'ts. She gets quite down because of her weight and is a single mother. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I started having these migrianes over a year ago, flashing lights, head pain a list of complaints,my list is so long they cant pinpoint anything so they tell me I'm depressed as well. Although I tested positive for Lupus than not-positive go figure. They did a MRI found this tumor but say its nothing to worry about and that I'm just having migrianes and basically to deal with it. They did start me on Topamax which hasnt helped so they figure they'll just up my dosage some more. I have started trying to do my own research. This type of tumor is a meningioma in right temporal lobe area.

I have a slipped disc and the usual connected sciatic pains and am awaiting a scan. In the last 24 hours my left thigh muscle has started visibly twitching every second or so and it is quite irritating. Is this a normal symptom?

I've had several MRI's done over the last few years for what I thought was a back injury, only the back injury is getting worse and the systoms seem to be getting more widespread. The doc. of course believes that I'm just deperessed. Well he's right I am somewhat depressed sometimes and overley happy and optimistic at other times. So I've been playing a tantalizing game of online medical connect the dots, it gets lonley when you play alone, so any feed back is totality appreciated!

I was at the doctors yesterday and it was mentioned (b/c of my insomnia and constant elevated body temperature - not fever related), but they never thought to do a blood test. I came home and looked up the symptoms on 10 different websites, and it practicaly spells out my life health issues! How do I go about asking my doctor to do this blood test without sounding like a hyperchondriact?

I;ve known for years that I have ADHD. Ive taken self tests online and in books etc, and have scored almost off the chart. Although I do have symptoms, I do not feel my life is too negatively impacted. I often say things without thinking and often forget minute details about something I don't deem important. My attention level is very bad unless I am raptly interested. My primary doctor says no doubt I have ADHD. But, she scared me with the potential side effects of the medicine. Plus, would I be changing who I am?

I also have disc disease. I have been doing research, and there are alot of people who are having good results with much more potent narcotics like Oxycontin, Fentanyl and methadone. I do work out and stretch, but my back gives me the most trouble. Any doctors or nurses out there with suggestions? I have two children and work full time at home. My pain is sometimes so unbearable that I have to lay in bed all day. Please help!!!

i have scoliosis, im 15, ive known for 2 years, ive gone to doctors, and ive been through physical therapy, doctors say since im done growing a brace is pointless, and that it was bad enough to risk surgery....
.... last time i went to the doctor (bout a yr ago) about it they said i didnt really need to go back unless it got worse... ive been in ALOT of pain lately, ive been doing some exercies recomended by my physical therapist, when i was in it... and they havent help, i dont think my mom realizes how much pain i really am in, and NOTHING is working lately, and i think i need to go back to the doctor, but i cant, since my mom seems to think its not as bad as it is.... so basiclly: Ive been in soooooooo much pain, nothing has helped, i know i need to go to the doctor.... if they think i should get surgery, what do you think i should do?? i was lookin at some info bout surgery online, and it said less then 1 out 100 go wrong but still... should i risk it? [if the dr. thinks i should]

I suspect I may have a parasite (maybe, maybe not). I did have a colonoscopy several months ago and the doctor said everything was fine (the reason had nothing to do with anyone thinking there was a parasite). My question is, does this pretty much rule out the possibility of a parasite?

Thanks in advance.
