My son has had 4 positive strep cultures in the past nine mths, recurring, nagging rashes around the eyes that won't go away and have been mis-diagnosed as exczema. He has also had flu like symptoms and has been tired & lethargic. I know a mono diagnosis has no prescribed medication, does this sound like mono to anyone, do you have any suggestions?

i have a friend. He always belched like crazy, sticking his head out of the window of his car and belching at other drivers, or pedestrians. Then a year or so later, he starts having stomach problems. He goes to the doctor, they do some tests, and find out he's got an ulcer. Could all that belching cause an acidity problem, where maybe it caused the ulcer? Or is it probably something else, like the H-Pylori bacteria that usually causes them?

Can anybody throw any light onto why I should wake up on my back in the morning, with complete numbness of my left hand? i have not slept on it, nor am i overweight. i know that the brachial plexus nerve is situated on your left and something either heart or lung may be pressing on it, if i sleep on back, as everything moves downwards.
any clues please? thank you so much.

the doc told me that my thyroid hormone is a little higher than norm. free T3 was 3.83Pg/dl which is about 0.3 above the higher end of the norm. free T4 was 1.62 which is just 0.02 above the higher end of the norm. my TSH level was normal and it was 2.75UIU/ml. I am wondering what could cause slightly higher free T3 level and TSH still staying in the normal range. I have symptoms that could be associated with high thyroid hormone. My heart beat feel so fast after a little excersise and shortness of breath appear at the same time with fast heart beat. its hard to sleep sometimes when the symptom appears. This is very bothering me and I wonder if anyone have some idea what should i do to cure these and what could be the cause. Because my heart beat sometimes is very uncomfortable and it makes me anxicious. I really would like to be fine like before.

It seems like even when I get 8 or 9 hours of sleep, I'm always exhausted the next day. My boyfriend says that when I fall asleep before him, I start to snore a bit, it gets louder and louder and then I wake up gasping for air and sit up really quick and then go back to sleep. He says I do this maybe 4 times within an hour period before he eventually falls asleep (so maybe even more times per hour). I never remember doing this at night. Is this sleep apnea? If so, do most insurances cover the sleep study required to diagnose it and cover the machine to aleviate it? I'm only 23.. why would I have this? Is it genetic? My dad seems to do the same thing.

I was streching my back/neck last week and since then whenever I lay down a few seconds later the room spins for about 5-10 seconds and the same thing when I get up. It was really bad a few days ago but has seemed to almost go away, what would cause this? I am guessing it had to do with my back/neck.
