Loose stool is actually the symptom. Diarrhea is usually caused by a virus or something you ate that your digestive tract doesn't care for. It would depend on how long this has been going on and some other factors; does your stomach hurt when you don't eat? Do fried, carbonated or spicy foods bother your stomach? Does it feel wonderful to drink milk? Do you have a problem with chocolate? It sounds to me like you have something else wrong other than an ulcer. Diarrhea is not usually a symptom of a new ulcer. See your doctor and let them find out for sure and until you do, make sure you drink lots of fluids so you don't get dehydrated. Good Luck!!

It could be, but it's likely that if you have diarrhea alone that you have another problem. Stomach ulcers ususually show up as pain in the middle of the upper stomach - burning or sharp in quality. It may be worsened or made better by food. You may have an acidic taste in your mouth at times, and it may be worse when you lay down. Or you may have no symptoms at all.
Of course, everyone is different, so see your doctor.

Black, tarry stools indicate blood and can be a sign of an ulcer.
