Sleep apnea is the medical term for snoring. If you are the one who is experiencing this, have someone check you when you are asleep. This usually happens to fat/obese persons but also happens ( in cases like stress and fatigue ) to normal beings. It is having a hard time breathing. Hope this helps. God bless! ;0

Feeling like you didn't get enough rest after sleeping for 8 hours in a night. Snoring is a big indicator and your weight is also a contributing factor. I myself suffer from sleep apnea and have been told it can be dangerous to your health by my doctor. But don't worry there are simple and pain free ways to fix this problem. Just go talk to your doctor and he will send you to a sleep study clinic and they will fix you right up. It will make you feel a 100 percent better. Good luck.

Waking up tired is the biggest clue. If you sleep with someone else they should stay up a few hours and just listen to your breathing. You will start to stop breathing for several seconds (which is why you feel tired because you can't go into deep sleep when your body has to jolt itself back into breathing). You should go to a sleep center if you are worried about having this though. It isn't fun, and for some reason seems to be getting more and more common. A simple machine (called a CPAP) can help though.

lethargy, worn out, tired, and ask a doctor if you think you have it. It's nothing to mess with. People with sleep apnea stop breathing while asleep. usually its the shortness of breath that wakes them up.
