About 2 years ago my doctor found that I have an elevated white cell count by chance I was there for something else, so I was referred to a hematologist he gives me a cbc every 3 months to monitor it and it always ranges from 12,000 to 15,000 up and down, now he is suggesting that I have a bone marrow biopsy. I am scared and worried, this doctor tells me very little of what he is thinking he is very quick, I don't feel comfortable when I go, its like I forget to ask questions, maybe I don't want to hear the answer I don't know.

Every year they infectious disease nurse hunts me down specifically to give me a flu shot. She brings up 1 injection just for me and gives it every year.
How long should it work? Just because you get it once a year, does that mean the immunity is there for 1 whole year or what?
Its amazing I dont get a cold or anything when I have a flu shot, but for many years, I was sick every winter over and over again.

Hey guys got a question for you. I know a UV light shows blood that someone has tried to cover up, but will it work on dried blood? I found what looks like dried blood on a picture frame I bought, and I want to knowfor sure so I know how to clean/disinfect it.

Also, does anyone know where I can get a hand-held UV Light like they use on CSI?

Thanks...

I happen to see a recommendation for a condom to be used as a safe birth control method. These are not 100% safe.(but close to it)
Also they are not 100% safe against the aids virus. An aids virus measures 1 micron in width. Ther are micrscopic holes found in condoms that are 10 microns in width.
These are the same holes which allow air to escape from a blown up balloon after a few days!

I've been sick for about a month. At the beginning I had a sore throat, fever, stuffy nose. Now my nose is just congested and i have a really bad headache. I noticed today that under my jaw is swollen and it hurts to touch. Also, my lower cheek, right above my jaw is very tender. Could this be related to my cold? And can colds even last this long? I've been feeling bad for about a month. And I've been getting colds and sinus infections at least one or two a month for the past year. Could there be something else wrong with me? I get sick all the time.

My son has had the intestional flu for two weeks. We have tried immodium, but it wears off after 24 hours. The last time he took it, it didn't even work. Over ten years ago, I had another child with the same problem. I took him to the doctor and he prescribed antibiotics. Antibiotics to treat diarrhea! It did not help at all. What do other doctors do for this?

There is a dangerous virus being passed around
electronically, orally, and by hand.
This virus is called
Weary-Overload-Recreational-Killer (WORK).
If you receive WORK from any of your colleagues, your
boss, or anyone else via any means DO NOT TOUCH IT!
This virus will wipe out your private life completely.
If you should come into contact with WORK, put your
jacket on and take two good friends to the nearest
grocery store. Purchase the antidote known as
Work-Isolating-Neutralizer-Extract (WINE) or
Bothersome-Employer-Elimination-Rebooter (BEER). Take
the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely
eliminated from your system.
You should forward this warning to 5 friends. If you
do not have 5 friends, you have already been infected
and WORK is controlling your life.
:-)
