Nope. Shingles is caused by the same virus that caused chicken pox, still lives in your body in the nerve ganglia (that's why you often get pain associated with shingles). Acidophilus is a culture of bacteria, lactobacilli, that normally lives in your body without causing harm. The idea here is that if you have lots of these around, there is no space or nutrients for the harmful bacteria to grow. Lactobacilli also makes their environment less friendly to other bacteria (i.e. secreting lactic acid in the vagina, making the vaginal canal slightly acidic and toxic to many other bacteria). This only works against other bacteria. All bets are off with viruses.

I had shingles for the primary time while I was once eight, after which stored on getting them (I'm kinda sickly, haha!) The stuff within the blisters can intent different men and women to get shingles in the event that they contact it. Keep your shingles included up. Try to not scratch them incase it will get for your fingertips and also you fail to remember to scrub them. If it itches or stings, lay your hand on a bloodless difficult floor and it'll support. Shingles are like 'grownup hen pox'. If you could have had hen pox as soon as, you not ever do once more - however you'll get shingles. You get them because of strain commonly which messes up your immune approach. Keep it included. Notify your neices mom and your pal, however they'll undoubtedly me okay until they touched the blisters! But don't forget to preserve slightly distance from them till the shingles start to heal. Hope they disappear quickly!

Shingles is caused by a virus.
Acidophilus is effective against yeast [ fungal infection ].
Can't hurt, though.
