I had a salad from a restaurant in Woburn, Ma. yesterday. There was a note of E Coli in the water supply in Woburn. Not thinking that the salad was washed in the town's water (maybe) I ate it anyway. Say I do have E Coli, how long does it take for the effects to happen???

I have hepatitis a, I found out like 5 years ago, and the doctor said there was nothing to worry about that I couldnt spread it to anyone, and that it was a very low test result and eventually it would go away. So I forgot about it, but then I was reading online you can pass it through sexual intercourse and that it will never go away. So am I diseased now?

9 days ago I was hit with a nasty case of the flu. It came on very very quickly, with chills, fever, extreme tiredness, and pain. About 8 hours after it began I was at the docs. Given Tamiflu, cough med, for the cough she said would follow, and meds for nausea. By Tues I'm feeling much better. Then on Fri it hits me again. Chills, temp of 102,body aches and I haven't been able to get out of bed for more than a few minutes up until now. What is going on? Did I get the flu again? Is there anything else I can do, this being in bed thing is getting old.

Is there any resemblance between Ciprofloxacin & Nitrofurantoin? A covering doctor said that it's ok to give Ciprofloxacin to a patient w/ Urinary Tract Infection whose urine culture & sensitivity showed that it is sensitive to Nitrofurantoin, but Ciprofloxacin was not in the list of drugs sensitive to the bacteria. He said that it's just the same. Is this true?

Can salmonella last longer than the 4-7 days? I am getting increasingly worse with diarrhea and stomach pain and nausea. I didn't realize until today that 3 weeks ago I ate the Great Value brand peanut butter and this is when the problem started. Yes I will go to a doctor but this is the weekend and I will wait untll Monday. In the meantime I am curious if salmonella lasts longer. Oh yes, I am a diabetic too.

My son is 8 weeks old and I think he might have pyloric stenosis. I had to pick him up from the babysitter yesterday because she said he was projectile vomiting. He didnt do it again all day, but today he did it again. Completely covered himself and me, and he appeared hungry again right after him vomited. I dont know what to do. He doesnt have a fever, so what else could cause him to vomit like this? He chokes on it, and it scares me. PLEASE GIVE ADVICE!
