i don't think India is that modern, my best friend went there once on a recommendation that's its a great place to be, the only comment i got back was "i wouldn't let my dog live there". sanitation or the lack of is what kills most folks in India.

From my understanding, Indians have been weak, unhealthy and disease prone for a long time now. It doesn't have anything to do with the economic boom. Also, there are many other states in the world that are modern (USA, Japan etc) who's citizens don't suffer from illnesses to the same extent as Indians do.

I think the reason that Indians are weak, unhealthy and disease prone is because of several reasons: The diet is bad to begin with. Indian diet is greasy, oily, high in carbohydrates and sugar levels and low in protein. Although beef must still be illegal, Indians need to be encouraged to eat chicken, fish, eggs, pork, soya and quorn as well as other foods that are high in protein. Protein is essential for muscle growth, testosterone development as well as physical growth. Lentils is a vital part of Indian diet but many Indians do not consume the adequate levels of lentils that are needed for health and virility. Indians also need to be encouraged to drink at least 10-15 glasses of "FILTERED" water daily. The Indian government and media should also encourage and propagate fitness and sports among the population.

I was born and educated in London (UK) but I am currently exploring investment and business opportunities in India. I would like to establish more gyms and bodybuilding, sports associations.

India and modern.....dont go together.
In a sense you can say that India is modern but only in some areas, like IT and Film industry.
Housing, sanitation an poor people make the bulk part of India.
In most parts of India there always has been shortage of water and electricty and corruption is an integral part of everyone in India.
Since 1947 India has not really gone forward.
Having said that India is great country to explore.
Its culture is rich and people are indeed friendly and helpful.
Remove poverty and corruption from India and
India could beat the western countries.

That theory doesn't make sense because the main causes of disease are bad hygiene, bad nutrition, malnutrition, lack of education and lack of a health care infrastructure. All of these problems are reduced by the increased wealth and prosperity of modern living.

India is piss poor which leads to a bad infra-structure. nothing to do with the people they are industrious educated and quite adept at whatever they do. but world banks are killing them, a country can't cope when its being charged unimaginable amounts of interest. if the banks left india alone it would prosper.
