I was given Cefalexin for a infected finger...now I think I am developing strep throat which is running through our house. Will this antibiotic also take care of strep?

I went to my doctor on monday because my university doctor was bad and what he gave me didn't help my problem. So my real doctor told me that I might have mono or a staff infection because of the severity of my sore throat (***** red mucusy throat negative for strept)

the only external symptoms I had of mono were a fever and sore throat. Absolutely no fatigue what so ever and I don't know about swollen lymph nodes.

My test results for mono came back negative, but my doctor said that doesn't mean I don't have it, and there is no way to test for staff. So I should be watched very closely for the next couple of weeks and take it easy.

I was wondering as to the accuracy of mono test results? Also, my spring break is coming up this week. I was planning on going to florida for the first weekend to see a concert that i've already paid for. I would be taking it easy while in florida and at the concert. So I was wondering how much risk I would be taking in going?

Ok so Saturday I get a sore throat at night, that night I get a 102.5 fever (never went past that) and a stuffy/runny nose with a horrible sore throat and a headache. And lots of pain in the chest (like when I cough, congestion) my sister had the same thing a week ago, she seems fine now but she has some cough left. My mom told me that a doctor is not needed right now and shes avoiding it because we don't have health insurance. The doctor said wait 5-6 days and if it doesnt get better come there. So I've been having fevers and stuff since saturday, today The highest it got was 100.1 but I've been feeling drained and I dont like doing anything, its like I dont want to continue, do you guys think this will heal in time? I've been taking just regualr nyquil and dayquil and I'd rather avoid the $100+ charge for the doc if its unecessary.

i recently went for an ultrasound as my gp suspects i may have gallsyones, the doc that took the ultrasound didnt tell me anything which has left me extremely worried. if it was anthing serious other than gallstones would the doc have told me or left it to my own gp

Ok, so on friday i started running a fever, woke up saturday went to the doctor, and she said i had a sinus infection, i thought i had the flu, i have all the symptoms, then sunday and yesterday i ran a fever, yesterday around 4 my fever broke, i have not ran a fever scence, but I still have the worst chills,still have aches and pains, a headache and i am so dizzy i can not stand it!! What is wrong??

I found 4 Jars of the 2111 P.B. I had eaten 3 of the 4 and truthfully I was sick all last summer and I had another sick spell after I had a foot surgery in December, because i was in a wheel chair, and not aloud to put any weight on my foot. The P.B. and felly was the easest thing for me to fix to eat. But I did not go to the dr that time just thinking it was the FLU!!! So I have contacted a lawer and the P.B. company. So if you dont or didnt go to the dr they say your pretty much S.O.L. WATS UP WITH THAT I SENT IN A PHOTO COPY OF ALL FOUR LIDS WITH THE 2111# ON THEM. And if it hadnt beed for my dad asking me to save the jars for him to put nuts and bolts in I wouldnt have had any PROOF. It just sucks for the ones that did get sick and didnt go to the doctor. The good thing is I did go to the doctor last summer, and had all the symtems of food poisioning.

So I'm not asking for someone to diagnose me with something, I just kinda want peoples opinions as to what I may have.
I got sick yesterday, my body was aching all over, i had a fever, and chills... my head hurt, and I could barley swallow!
When I woke up this morning, I still had a fever, my body didn't ache, but whenever I got up my head would ache like CRAZY, and my throat is still bothering me as well.
I think I may have the flu or strep throat, but I'm not sure..
I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, but this is just driving me nuts

I’m concerned about my girlfriend who has had a fever for the past 10 days. Her only symptoms are a low to high grade fever, chills, a persistent headache and slight dizziness.

She *does not* have swollen glands, a sore throat, a stomach ache or a rash.

Her temperature floats between 99 – 102.6 on a daily basis. During the day her temperature will hover around 99 and then like clockwork she’ll begin to get chills and shiver around 4pm and her temperature shoots back up to around 100.7 - 102.6.

She has been to the ER and they took blood, urine and chest x-rays, which all came back negative. She feels as though if she goes back to the Dr. they will just tell her the same thing. I keep trying to calm her nerves by saying it’s more than likely a virus and just needs to work its way out. However, I am worried that it may be worse than a simple virus such as meningitis or something like that. Has someone witnessed a similar situation? How long can a fever last? 2, 3 weeks?
