Typhoid: a serious infection marked by intestinal inflammation and ulceration; caused by Salmonella typhosa ingested with food or water.

Enteric means pertaining to the intestine. Enteric fever is fever due to a condition affecting the intestine. It is another term for typhoid.

Enteric fever is other name of typhoid caused by Salmonella typhi, it spreads throgh contaminated water, food . beware of eating outside and drinking but u know we indian are too strong, I am not suprised to see no of diseased patient but how can there no. is low as compare to our environmental condition
