I am chilling and feel feverish...I don't have a fever though. I am so sore all over and I have a headache. I also have a cough and feel smothery SOMETIMES. I have been laying around and resting for about 27 hours. I have been taking the generic for "Tylenol Flu" and it seems to help some but makes me real restless. I feel better for a little while then I am knocked on my butt again feeling worse than ever. I don't really have much of an appetite either and feel nauseous from time to time. I don't really want to go to the ER because I don't know what they can do for me. Plus it is like $100 copay. Should I just wait til tomorrow and try to see my PCP or is there anything the ER can do to speed recovery?

My husband has a bleeding ulcer and I heard that there is an antibotic available to heal it. Is this true? If so what is the antibotic and how can he get it?

Help! She is spreading her germs everywhere! How do I politely tell her to get a cough drop or something?! Should I buy them myself and keep them at my desk? Should I Lysol everything she touches after she leaves work today?

I was talking with my sister and we were discussing how HIV attacks the body. Then we study for our Biology test and we came across that if a patient has a virus you don't treat it you treat the signs and symptoms i.e. headache, sore muscles, nausea, and fever. And why is there not a vaccine to prevent contact of HIV just like the ones they have for the flu.

How long will it take to heal? I found 2 tiny bumps on my right side. Could this be the staph infection?

So yeah, I'm 15 years old and I've had it for about 4 days; I've been stuck home all week. I used the same medicine as always when I had it before and it doesn't seem to be working. I'm tossing and turning at night when my saliva increases and I have to swallow it which hurts really bad. I woke up 15 minutes ago to look myself in the mirror and see that my tongue is coated in blood. What should I do? Is this still strep?

i had a bad experience recently, i met this unknown person, and he accidentally poked my nose (as in his finger went inside my nose). the problem was when he took it out, there was blood on his finger, that was when i realised that the blood came from his open wound. How? His blood was in my nose. I panick and went to clean my nose immediately with a tissue, and there were blood on the tissue too. I really don't know what to do now, i can't sleep or live a normal life for almost a week already. please help me.
i know that this is not a matter of hygience, but whether am i going to contract the virus from this unkown person since i don't even know his status?

I understand from another scenario like fingering the anal, even with an open wound is considered as quite low risk of contracting the virus. But what about the scenario which i have experienced?

:(

I have a cold and I began taking penicillin on Monday morning (it is now almost Thursday morning). Am I still contagious and able to spread my cold to others? Or am I ok to kiss my boyfriend? :)

Im wondering if this is a universal problem... This is happening to me in grad school and it definitely happened in undergrad. Every time I walk into student health, the air is stagnant and moist... people are sneezing and coughing within 2 feet of me - and I am there for a mild thing and then 4 days after I walk out - I'm incredibly sick... I can't count the number of times this has happened! What is wrong with college health centers that they cant at least have flowing, dry air in the waiting rooms - or chairs that aren't on top of eachother?! argh... i went in just for a routine thing cuz i had a fracture...and they wanted to check it and now i have strep or a cold or something.
