I think we should put her in the back room all by her lonesome so at least the germs are contained to one area. I gave her some cough drops already so that is taken care of. As far as coughing all over the place, the POLITE thing to do is cover your mouth when you cough...POOP SCOOP! She'll be fine. It's just a cold. Keep your distance from her germ infested self and wash your hands frequently and spray the lysol around a couple times a day just in case.

Get some Olbus oil. Put a few drops on a tissue and keep it handy. When she coughs near you,get your tissue out and cover your mouth and nose! Hopefully she will ask what the smell is! Then you can politely say " I'm so sorry about the smell, but Olbus Oil is known for reducing the spread of germs" (which is true)!!! Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly,as most germs are passed hand to hand.

Yes
And protect yourself. When you pick-up Lysol and cough drops, get some hand sanitizer for both of you. Wash your hands often with warm water and soap. Keep tissue around also.
I was on verge of pneumonia last week and share an office with another nurse. She is free of symptoms of cold/flu because we were diligent with these simple procedures

Yes! To all parts of your question. I'd add on top of your desk, a can of Lysol, cough drops, and those tissues that are "anti-viral". You could hand her a tissue next time she starts coughing next to you.

Isn't there an existing office policy regarding protocol ? Somewhere there should at least be a memorandum relative to cell phones during business hours. I would research this and give her a copy of that page, highlighted, anonymously. If none is found, ask the supervisor if this employee suffers from a hearing loss and cite the "evidence". Any manager worth their salt should address this situation for the benefit of ALL employees.

Just tell her you don't like her coughing everywhere and ask if she would like for you to get her some cough drops. It's your health too, maybe the boss should send her home!

I don't think you should be so concerned about telling someone what they should be told like'' Could you please cover you're mouth when you cough? To many people know are allowed to be sensative or offended by someone who simply was brought up with better comon sense ! Frankly" I'm sick of people who want to avoid constructive comments for the good of all !!!
