I agree with others that said do not listen to jmminnc, it is safe to work around food (I think he's confusing it with Hep A)...Just use proper food safety procedures that everyone should be doing anyways. It has never been proven to be contracted through food. Also, most important is that if you are a carrier, you need to get routine checkups to monitor yourself, for your own health.
