I have Tonsilitis ... I have been to doctors and they have to pop the pus in the back of my mouth ... It hurts to swallow and the fever is unbearable . He says he does not recoment i get my tonsils pulled out because i will get sick to often. I get tonsilitis about ones a year sometimes a year and a half. My other problem is that i have no insurance and i can't afford it.

Does anybody know what i can do to make it go away faster. i've tried antibiotics , gargled with salt water and hidrogen peroside. but its not getting better.

I also have very swollen glands, and very swollen gums. I had a fever for two days that went up to 102. I felt crappy for four days after we made out, then I started to get these symptoms. The first symptoms was swollen tonsils with white spots on them. The doctor doesn't know what it is (I did not mention the kissing to her though) and I am negative for strep and mono. The sores on my tongue are very painful and I cannot eat. I do not have anything on the outside of my mouth though. Is this a herpes virus? Can anyone suggest anything?

can anyone explain to me wether during the first 10 days of a quite severe case of the above i noticed my body emitted quite an unusual odour moreso during bouts of fever symtoms. as the problem abated and i thought i was free of the problem it was 5 days later i continued to suffer the fever symtoms and a sense of imbalance of the inner ear which was further treated with antibiotics. as this cleared i continued to be aware of the same unusual odour moreso when breathing thru my nose, although the odour was not apparent externally as confirmed by my wife.
i can only assume this is related to the continued presence of some aspect of the campylobactor or am i wrong
