I am chilling and feel feverish...I don't have a fever though. I am so sore all over and I have a headache. I also have a cough and feel smothery SOMETIMES. I have been laying around and resting for about 27 hours. I have been taking the generic for "Tylenol Flu" and it seems to help some but makes me real restless. I feel better for a little while then I am knocked on my butt again feeling worse than ever. I don't really have much of an appetite either and feel nauseous from time to time. I don't really want to go to the ER because I don't know what they can do for me. Plus it is like $100 copay. Should I just wait til tomorrow and try to see my PCP or is there anything the ER can do to speed recovery?

No, there's nothing the ER can do to speed up recovery. It has to run it's course. And the ERs are full right now with people signing in for your exact symptoms, so the wait would take forever.

I suggest calling your PCP on Monday and getting his advice.

Drink some Gatorade , eat chewable vitamin C , sip some soup and lay low. You will get better--there is alot going around right now.

Also, if the nausea lasts for longer than a week, pregnant? That's always a good question to figure out the answer to.

Take over the counter medicine to help relieve your symptom, get plenty of rest and most of all, drink PLENTY OF WATER. The more hydrated you are the chances of the illness passing faster.

It isn't necessary to visit the docotr for flu symptoms right away. But if the symptoms persist for a week or more, then there may be other problems and it's time to visit the doc.
