I quit smoking three days ago, the withdrawal isn't pleasant but it is bearable...but, today, I passed out and have been feeling wasted all day. Checked my BP and it was 84/ 50, HR was 68. (Norm for me is 116/78 HR 90) Question is, did the medication cause the hypotension with the nicotine out of my system?

I am thinking about going on Xanax again for severe sleep deprivation ,

I will take LESS than even .25mg the LOWEST dose given I split this in two

Is this a reasonable dose. because I have been on it before and it works just not this low of a dose

But I think less than .25 mg (.12.5 mg) is more than reasonable and very safe

Are you aware that today's medical profession is largely controlled by the drug industry- they sponsor research (which has a strong tendency to find favorableresults far more often than independent research) they sponsor symposiums, medical universities continuing education for practicing physicians they have an army of highly trained sales reps armed with PSUEDO SCINTIFIC LITERATURE painting the drug companies wares in the most glowing light.

And of course there are the freebies which range from logo-bearing office knick knacks to free dinners to paid vacations at resorts. Basically modern medicine revolves around a drug dominated culture Doctors are carefully conditioned and MANIPULATED by drug companies for the companies OWN FINANCIAL BENEFIT NOT FOR THE PATIENTS!

As in any profession ONLY A SMALL FEW doctors will step outside of the square see what is REALLY going on and rise above the rest of the pack

Are you aware of this?

she is taking medicines.. 25mg.........today she checked after 1 month...her bp at 5.pm..........it is 150/90..dr told to increase the medicines by 75 mg....
she did really some extra heavy work...she s over weight...n she cycled 5 km... and did many works continuously comparing other days.... then only she went to dr ..

dr told to increase the medicine ... my mom asked her "shold take these extra medicine for life time"..she said "no..u take now ..l ii tell u later""
what s point is..she should check the bp for 3 days continuosly..then she should tell to increase the medicine...without she s saying like this...
another thing is she had to wait for 1 hour to meet dr..and today she had her periods...
i)do you thing this may increased her bp??

ii) dr simply told to increase the dosage...should mymom take it ???? or consult others..

(note: some months ago other told my mom not to woory continue with the current dosage... ur not bad... but this is saying like this)

Hey everyone. I am a 17 year old guy in college. I have been having pains in my chest recently. About 1 month + ago till now. It was a few days apart in the past but its built up till its almost everyday now. Its on the left side of my chest and whenever i feel pain i put my hand to my heart and i can feel it beating stronger and faster most of the time.

The pain is squeezing, and sometimes sharper. Sometimes it comes on and off but for awhile only. Sometimes it drags for hours. I have been keeping to my normal diet and everything hasn't changed much

I dont really want to see a doctor yet cause its troublesome and everything..

Please help! Thanks!!

My Father-in-law has to have a MRI of the brain.
He is concerned about having the test done (well actually it's moreso my Mother-in-law that is concerned) because he had heart surgery back in 1999 and they put wires in his chest.

My opinion is that it's been long enough that the MRI will not affect him, but I want to be sure.
Does anyone have any knowledge or info about this?
Am I right OR should he not have the MRI done?

Any information would be greatly appreciated :)

Lately my hearts been going katonk, its real fast and quick and its over It used to happen once in a blue moon but lately it happens more often when i am lying at rest or standing at my work station at rest as well There's no pain involved and its not a flutter
Is it my heart murmur worsening or perhaps an infection as 6 mths ago during dental work I took the amoxicillin 4 hrs before cleaning instead of 1 hour. Or is it just too much caffeine.

I am 24 and started having palpations when I was 20 which occured after a meth overdose. My paplations stopped after a while but I just started gaining a lot more weight and now after I eat a meal no matter how small I still get palpations. It scares me and sometimes I am dizzy. I went to the doctor a long while ago and they assured me that that was normal. Am I going to die? I'm 5'1 180lbs, have been clean from drugs for 4 years.
