My husband, who is 58, has had good check ups but is worried he will die soon - or atleast before or shortly after he retires at 62. He is about 30+lbs overweight. But other wise healthy, although he does not exercise.

my friends niece had a baby born with anencephaly, which means he was born without a brain. But has a brain stem which allows breathing and heart beat. Does any one know anything about this? How long does a baby usually sustain life until it dies from this? Im just amazed, I had no idea a human body could function without a brain and just with the brain stem alone. He will never be able to do anything of course but its so sad. Hes perfect in every other way.

I know many types of heart palpations can be harmless as I get them myself and he is contacting the MD tomarrow, however, I wanted more info.

His come on and last only a few minutes, 1-5 mins. However, he does experience SOB. He is 43, has asthma, however, other then that in very good health. Good weight and runs regularly. As I said, he is going to doc today but I wanted more info now. THanks!

My bad cholesterol was 40 points higher than what is reguarded as upper limit O.K.-(bad). My doctor is pushing a test that will ultimately cost me a month's wages. I'll stop the 'butter and eggs' thinking that in doing so will bring things back into balance.

What is wrong with my Dad? Last night he was vommiting flem and had all the symtons of a heart attack so my Mom called 911 even thought my Dad didnt want her too. When the ambulance got here they took alot of test and everything turned out good but they asked him if he wanted to go with them to the hospital. My dad was having a panic attack and said no. My Dad also was very dizzy after the abulance left. Now today he was eating and after one bite he was coughing alot and his face turned bright red and his chest locked up again. Is this hte begining stages of a heart attack or is it sometihng with digestion? Hesa about to go to the docter but im just worried.

has anyone else been treated for NCS with midodrine?
How long does it take for your body to get used to it?
I'm not having much success :( my dizziness / fainting spells aren't decreasing and the side effects of the drug are actually making me feel worse.

I have another tilt table test scheduled in 2 weeks, what happens if I test positive again? will they put me on a different medicine? I read pace makers are a possibility and that's kinda scary.

Lately I have been having a problem feeling like my heart is beating very iregular, but this only seems to occur at night when i'm getting ready to go to bed.
As soon as it gets to be about 9m or so, i strat to get ready for bed, same as usual, but as soon as i lay down I start feeling the heart palpitations. Its not painful but very bothersome and scary to me. I also have a weird feeling in my throught when this happens....anyone have similiar symptoms and if so, any clues to what might be wrong?
also, i have been diagnosed with anxiety disorder when i was 7 ( i am 21) but dont feel lik this is the cause.

Years ago I read that there was a statistical relationship between a crease in the earlobe (found in older people) and hear attack. I wonder if that is still being circulated as true. Is it true?
