My question is why do people want to steer away from me when I tell them?

I was diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes June 28. Before that, in 2006, I weighed 192, Feb. 07, 177, then 166 when diagnosed.
(Not sure why I lost, since I ate out a lot, and fast foods about 3x a week). I am on Metformin pills, 1500 mg/day. 4 months later, I am eating healthier, but not exercising much, and I am now 161 lbs. I am tempted to eat more food to get back to 170, as I have a medium frame, but not sure how without raising glucose levels. Any ideas folks?

My acupuncturist said my pancreas was out of whack... (and my gall bladder) I've been looking for websites on info and getting frustrated with it. Anyone know anything about this, or have a good website to go to? I'm looking for ways to boost their functioning.
Thanks!

I have been drinking Earl Grey Tea like its going out of fashion. My Hb levels have dropped to 8.5 so I need an iron infusion. Great! Does the Decaff version have the same effect? I guess Earl Grey is my thing. Sad I know. Would be better if I smoked or drank alcohol I guess;-)

I was told after having my 2 children that i was at a high risk of getting diabetes as they both weighed alot (9lb 15oz) and (10lb). Also there is diabetes in my family (my mothers dad and his mam). For a while...but more lately, i constantly have a dry mouth, needing the loo alot, and if i dont have something to eat for breakfast/dinner i get all shakey and weak. I also have constant water infections, but im tht used to them now i dont botha going to the doc for antibiotics,as it just comes and goes by itself.Last night was the worst i was needin a wee all the time and felt really sickly and dizzy. Dont wanna go to the docs for a blood test as will feel daft if it comes back negative lol

Can someone who has diabetes, who eats too many sweets and their blood sugar gets too high, actually DIE from it?

I don't have diabetes (at least I don't think so, since I have none of the symptoms), however since my dad has Type II, I've always been careful about my diet and excersize, and sometimes get my blood sugar checked.

The last time I did was around 4 months ago (it was around the 130 range and was less than an hour after I'd had a very large meal, so I think that was about right). I was wondering how accurate BG meters were.

As a note, I weigh around 135 pounds (which is around average for my height) and am 16 years old (I'm a girl). A lot of the older (45+) male members on my dad's side of the family (including my dad) have it, and I have one relative who's 19 and has it, but she's VERY sedentary and weighs almost 400 lbs. I take a roughly 45-minute jog every day and try to limit my carb/sugar intake, and I was also wondering what else I could do to prevent getting diabetes myself- I'm considering enlisting in the military after high school, meaning I can't have a serious disease.

If I am currently high, and I take some, how long should it take to react? How long should I wait to monitor it and take more insulin? I'm afraid of taking too much at one sitting and want to space it out some.
