I have an itch. It starts from the small of the back where the buttocks begins. That exact spot nothing helps, except cortizone lotion. Then the Itch works its way up my entire back.
I tried Alegra, Claritin, Gold Bond Powder, lotion from the dermatoligst, and the best over the counter products. Nothing really helps form more than a few hours. Please help I am not able to sleep.

OK, yesterday, I asked a question in regards to my 14 month old daughter and giving her some peanut butter. An hour afterwards, her cheeks got red. Lots of people commented on what I should do and many people basically scolded me for giving it to her. Well, I just wanted you to know that I took her to the doctor and she is on a perscription allergy medication cause he said it could be anything cause it is allergy season now or it could be the Peanut butter. He said it was not that severe cause her face just got flushed. He said to wait a few more years and introduce it again.... especially with exzema or asthema in the family history. What I am going to do also is when she goes to her next wellbaby visit, I am going to talk to the doctor about getting her tested for the allergy. So, just wanted to thank you all for your advice and stories. And for those people who are wannabe doctors telling me what I should and should not have done, thanks but no thanks.

abnormal to have a hard cough for so long. My son has seen his doctor and his doctor has given him an inhaler. He uses Purimort and Albural but it does not seem to help. It's hard to hear him cough every 5 minutes. But at night, he is fine. He eats well and is pretty active. The only thing is his hard cough. Please advise.

it says that you can take 1-2 doses every 4-6 hours but no more than 6 doses in 24 hours...but is this safe to do on a daily bases? just seems to me that this is a lot of Diphenhydramine HCl, considering each tablet contains 12.5 mg

i have very bad allergies...and 10mg loratine of claritin (24 hours) do not work very well

I know that wine has many components that people can have reactions to, but I am wondering what people actually feel after a small (a glass or a part of a glass) amount of wine. Does anyone else feel swelling in their lymph nodes in their neck--like they are coming down with a cold? Or does anyone suffer from post-nasal drip after a glass of wine?

My daughter is 14 months and my husband and I just gave her some peanut butter from our finger. All was well but then about an hour later, I noticed her cheeks and nose and chin we red like an apple. I figure this is a reaction to the PB, right? Do I just keep her away from PB and ask the doctor when she goes for her next appt in April? There are no nut allergies on either side of our familes so I am confused by this. Our daughter has not been feeling well lately so I wonder if the rosey face is due to her being "under the weather."

My husband and I love relaxing in our hot tub in the evenings, but in the last few months, the chlorine has started to irritate my skin. I started itching like crazy, and after a long time we finally figured out the cause. We use White River brand chemicals. Is it possible the the company changed their products? Would using a different brand of chemicals help? I need any help I can get. I really miss sitting in my hot tub, but I can't live with scratching.

Hi...I just recently went to the allergist and got tested for my allergies. Needless to say, I am allergic to EVERYTHING (from grass to dogs). I've been on Zyrtec for the past 5 years+ and it really helps me but it makes me really tired. My allergist is recommending allergy shots to help me but I'm not really sure what to do. Since my allergies are so high (about 9-10 on scale), how long will it take me before I become immune. I would really appreciate any input on anyone who has been on shots or is currently on shots. Do they help that much? Thanks so much! :)

My daughter has really bad allergies and is on Singulair and Zyrtec all the time. She is only five years old. For several weeks, we have noticed that she was not hearing as well as she used to. We scheduled a hearing test. She has some hearing loss (temporary) because the allergies have caused fluid to collect behind her eardrums. The doctor gave us samples of Nasonex to try for 3 weeks. He is hoping this will dry up the fluid. If it works, I guess we have another med to do every night. If it does not work, he is suggesting tubes to drain the fluid and restore hearing. He is also going to draw blood for allergy testing.

Has anyone else had expereinced this before? I had heard that sometimes tubes could cause fluid to back up. I don't want to do something that will cause further problems down the road. She has never had tubes before.

I was just tested and I am allergic to nearly everything. I do not want shots and I do not want to take medication. Dust Mites 4++ as are cats (both which I have). I keep getting Sinusitis and am tired of the antibiotics. The allergist said without the shots I will have to be on medications the rest of my life. HELP
