Vacuum the house thoroughly, including floors and furniture. This will get any loose flea eggs, larvae, and adults. Dispose of the vacuum bag in a sealed plastic bag. Otherwise, the fleas you catch will hop out (they go toward light).

Make a 50/50 mixture of 20 Mule Team Borax (the boxed laundry product), and diatomaceous earth. The diatomaceous earth is available cheaply wherever swimming pool supplies are sold, including most supermarkets and drug stores. It is also called swimming pool filter earth. Pure borax will also work but will cost a bit more.

Make a dust can by punching or drilling a bunch of holes in the base of a container. A used quart yogurt or cottage cheese container, with the top, is perfect. Medium dust all carpets and hidden nooks and crannies of furniture, closets, and wherever else larval fleas might be hiding (they eat dust and detritus). I like to sweep the powder into the carpets with a push broom and not vacuum the rugs for several days so the dust can really sift down.

Do not breathe this dust or get it on the skin. This isn't a systemic poison like insecticides but it is irritating to the eyes, skin, and lungs. For this reason, be sure the kids and animals are out of the house while you dust. Do not use this dust outside or on houseplants. The borax will harm any plants it contacts.

To keep fleas off of pets or kids when they are outside, thin slice a lemon or lime (peals and all) into two cups of water. Heat the water to boiling and let sit overnight. Sponge the child or pet in the morning with the lemon scented water, and let it dry. It will soothe the skin, smell really nice, and keep the fleas off for about 1/2 a day.

Hope this helps!!

Blessings

There is a chemical called Diazinon, it's marketed under the name Precor. I have used it and it works. It takes several days, but once the flease are gone, they are gone for good.

There is an indoor type that can be mixed with water and sprayed on carpet and furniture, etc. There is an outdoor type thant can be put on the ground, grass, and so on.

It only has an effect on the laval fleas, not the adults. It doesn't kill the fleas, they never get out of the larval stage once they are exposed to the chemical, and they can't breed anymore, so they die out. You will probably have to spray with it at least twice because there may be eggs that haven't hatched yet. It's a lot safer than insecticides, be sure to read about any possible risk before using it, of course, and follow the directions on the package.

you need to put a light in a room where you may find the most fleas and then put a pan of water with dish soap. when the fleas jump on the light then they fall off into the soapy water then they drown.
also there is something that is put out by bangel it is for fleas you take that and spray you drapes, sofa, etc.
also take oderless garlic crush it up and put it onto the pets food everyday. also codliver oil with the garlic
also get you some frontline from the vets. don't listen to the vet when they say spray 2drops of the pet. you need to spray the pet until soaked really good. also a must to remember do not bathe a pet 2 days b4 using frontline and don't bathe 2 days after spraying the pet.
another thing you can treat you yard for fleas but if your neibghor has fleas and don't treat their yard then sorry to say you are just waisting your money....

another thing to try is get a bottle of tearfree shampoo and put some eucalyptus oil into the shampoo and bathe the pet with it
