My husband and I love relaxing in our hot tub in the evenings, but in the last few months, the chlorine has started to irritate my skin. I started itching like crazy, and after a long time we finally figured out the cause. We use White River brand chemicals. Is it possible the the company changed their products? Would using a different brand of chemicals help? I need any help I can get. I really miss sitting in my hot tub, but I can't live with scratching.

We switched to a product-line called Baqua-Cyl (not sure if I spelled the second 1/2 of that correctly-sorry). It's a hydrogen peroxide base rather than chlorine.
We even switched our pool over to it. No more itchy, white chalky skin!!! Much less maintenance required too. Especially for the pool; no more CONSTANT chlorine testing....

Call the store where you get your supplies or where you bought your hot tub. There are chlorine-free products available. They can help you find a good place in your area to buy them.

try using a little less chlorine any level between 1.5 and 3 is fine...too much is a bad thing...also make sure your PH levels are normal...if your PH is too high you can add muriatic acid (a very small amount) to lower it...i'm sensitive to chlorine and bleach too...good luck
