For two months I've had a "cobblestone throat' as the doc called it. They are huge bumps on the back of my throat, well they have gone away except for a couple. The doctor doesn't know what it is, and its been going for two months now. Is there anyone else who may know what is going on?

And please, please, no smart answers, this is a real problem so if you don't have anything to contribute don't bother.

Hi all you well informed people. My new fella has a pectin allergy, which i take to mean he can't eat citrus fruits.... but someone has also set the seed now that it can have a link to peanut allergy as well.

Does anyone know about this type of allergy? I don't want to bore him by asking him again.... I don't think he's 100% sure of all the ins and outs! Thanks.

I have allergies really bad but they are accompanied with a slight fever, not going past 100.5 degrees. Is this normal for allergies? or could it be something else?

I started using proactiv 2 days ago and today I woke up with a rash. The pharmacists said that it may not be a rash but proactiv bringing impurities to the surface. I only ever had a pimple here and there so I do not think it could be that. Any suggestions. I am taking benadryl and hydrocortisone cream.

I do not drink Rootbeer often, but every time I drink the more common kinds such as A&W and Mug (But I seem ok with IBC?) I have a hangover like effect the next day and sometimes a mood swing or just feel somewhat lethargic and bad.

I did not think anything until it happened repeatedly, and every time I drank it I was in a bad mood the next day and got in arguments sometimes. EVERY time. I had that happen yesterday and recalled last time I drank it I felt the same way, and the time before..

Could I be allergic to some chemical or something in the root beer? Regular beer makes me sick.

I have been experiencing (mostly in warmer weather), a tightening of the skin around my eyes, with a deep wrinkling - to the extent that my eyes actually seem to be smaller, and somewhat closed-up - I don't easily wrinkle, so I am wondering if this is a symptom of eye allergy - or is it just the aging process - I do have allergies, so I am suspicious that this may be an allergy symptom - does anyone know how to clear this type of thing up?

I am allergic to beef, pork, lamb, etc. Do you or anybody you know have this kind of allergies and if so what do you do about it. Is there a medicine that you can take for this.

I have been getting the same allergic reaction since I was a teenager... it springs up from time to time and no doctors can tell me what it is....

Symptoms are red spots under the skin (more like blotches) on the palms of my hands. This is the only place I get them on the body.

It feels very uncomfortable, constantly tingling and itching and after a while the skin starts to peel which is quite painful. Sorry this sounds gross!

I thought it was my washing powder but this doesn't seem to be the case.... I know its a long shot but if anyone has had something similar I'd love to know what you did about it!

Thanks

It happens once or twice a year. It's basicly just a plugged/runny nose with a sharp pain in the back of my throut when i swollow liquids. I comes with out warning and i don't know what sets it off. It takes a while to go away (2 weeks usually). Really brings me down because it makes me almost stop drinking, i have to force myself to drink to stay hydrated. It doesn't respond well to any allergy medicine or any other medicine for that matter. I just want to know what it is so i can stop it (have it now) or prevent it. This has been happening to me for as long as i remember. I have other allegries (pine pollen, citris, and strawberries) and i know how i react to those. Help. I just want it controlled, i don't want this the rest of my life. Thanks

So my mom is teacher and I was recently stricken by a cold. She told me a school nurse told her to put Vicks VapoRub on the sick person's foot and put on socks, and the next morning things would be fine. Has anyone heard this before? If so, does it work?

In the mid 70s parents were advised not to let their children eat peanuts. Not because of allergic reactions, but because a child under three might inhale them. Now we're told that the massive increase in nut allargy is due to the fact that children don't eat nuts from an early age. Is this an advertisement for peanut butter?
We are often told fairy tales about food, or hear them from an unsubstantiated source.
