A plugged nose may respond well to a decongestant such as sudafed (the type you need to get from the pharmacy counter). That may be all you need, but if that doesn't do it, add an antihistamine such as Claritin (or generic version).

Allergies are a huge problem for me, especially during the summer. With me I get plugged nose and itchy eyes but what I have found works miracles is Zyrtec. It works really well, even when I am camping in the Mountains which is allergy heaven! - good luck .... Although I don't uses it myself my best friend uses Claritin and it works for her. Best suggestion, go to a CVS/Pharmsist and describe your symptoms, they will be able to give you medication that best fits your needs. - good luck.
