I started using proactiv 2 days ago and today I woke up with a rash. The pharmacists said that it may not be a rash but proactiv bringing impurities to the surface. I only ever had a pimple here and there so I do not think it could be that. Any suggestions. I am taking benadryl and hydrocortisone cream.

i really don't know. my son used proactive and didn't have any problems. you could be having an allergic reaction to the product. keep using the benadryl, especially if the rash is itchy of puffy, and discontinue the proactive at least until the rash clears. call a dermatologist and see what they say. it could be something totally unrelated.you can try again when your skin is better. if you get the rash again, it's a reaction. good luck.
