Hi all you well informed people. My new fella has a pectin allergy, which i take to mean he can't eat citrus fruits.... but someone has also set the seed now that it can have a link to peanut allergy as well.

Does anyone know about this type of allergy? I don't want to bore him by asking him again.... I don't think he's 100% sure of all the ins and outs! Thanks.

Food allergies are a little mysterious, and they work differently in each person. Many allergies to a particular food tend to be linked to allergies in other foods, but a person can only figure this out by trial-and-error, or with an allergy test. Pectin allergies have been linked to cashews and pistachios, but i don't think peanuts are linked. .
