It happens once or twice a year. It's basicly just a plugged/runny nose with a sharp pain in the back of my throut when i swollow liquids. I comes with out warning and i don't know what sets it off. It takes a while to go away (2 weeks usually). Really brings me down because it makes me almost stop drinking, i have to force myself to drink to stay hydrated. It doesn't respond well to any allergy medicine or any other medicine for that matter. I just want to know what it is so i can stop it (have it now) or prevent it. This has been happening to me for as long as i remember. I have other allegries (pine pollen, citris, and strawberries) and i know how i react to those. Help. I just want it controlled, i don't want this the rest of my life. Thanks

I know this probably sounds like it won't work, but it has for me. I am 64 yrs old. Everyday I chew 2 tablets of Vitamin C. Most people will say it doesn't work but I haven't had a cold in about 5 years since I have been taking them everyday. I do not miss a day. I have a bottle sitting next to my chair and every morning I faithfully take 2.
