I've had a few and I hate the lasting effects, is there any way to prevent them, or should I just be careful to notice the signs of an allergic reaction?

My doctor told me the side effects are mostly local but I've read the drug handbook and it says the effects are adrenal suppression and bone demineralization which are after all systemic effects. Can someone please enlighten me on this?

I've been searching for alternative drugs online and i found CROMOLYN SODIUM. It says it's not as effective as steroids but I wanna give it a try. Is it really inferior to steroids?

My boyfriend gets really sick with allergies every year at this time. He takes Claritin and it seems to not be giving him any relief lately. He doesn't have insurance to go see a doctor. Every night he seems to get worse . His nose stops up so bad that he can't breathe. He's tried Vick's to open up his nasal passages and that doesn't work. Can someone recommend something over the counter that will give him relief.

My daughter who is now eight was diagnosed as an infant with a milk protein allergy. Any milk ingredients or products make her break out in hives, a red face, runny nose, watery eyes, cold symptoms, a cough, an upset stomach, diarrhea, etc. Sometimes she has a combination of the symptoms and sometimes only one or two. Lactic acid gets her the most.

She went for a skin test and it came up negative. So her pediatrician suggested that we take her to Boston Children's Hospital to see an allergist. She also did a skin test. In both tests the hystamine control site did not bubble for some reason. In the second test the same thing happened, but the saline that was not supposed to bubble did. Could she be allergic even if it does not show up on the test?

Last night my son got a rash all over his stomach and down his legs. I did not know what it was so I took him to the doctor. They said it was an allergic reaction to something. The only thing new that he had yesterday was some Curry seasoned rice. Could the curry have given him the rash? He got a similar rash from Eucerin Intensive Repair lotion that I put on him once because his skin was real dry. Are a lot of people allergic to Curry?

RIght now I'm allergic to ant bites. Like if an ant bites me, like even a regular black ant, the area gets swollen up to twice its size and the area turns purple and for the first 2 days I have to take steroid type medication to reduce the swelling and then for 10 days I have to take an antibiotic but like this has happened 3 times so far when I've gotten bit. But when I was younger, I never had reactions. Like when I was 6 or 7, I first got bit by an ant and nothing happened except maybe a small itchy bump that went away in a few days. It happened after that too. Then one day when I was like 10, I got bit and it got the reaction, and has been happening ever since. Why is that? Will it get worse?

I can't hardly function I am rubbing my eyes, sneezing and blowing/wiping my nose so much! I have tried several different things the 24 hour claritin, a sinus allergy medicine and they didn't help me. I am medicated 24/7! UGH. I am used to having allergies every year this time but they seem even worse than normal. I can't even hold my baby without having to put him down real quick and run for tissue. What can I do or use that actually helps?
