Allergies

So my bf just randomly trew up in his mouth(sounds nasty i know) and he said it tasted acidic or something. What could it be??its not food poising or anything like that. any ideas??and he does get heart burn alot.(idk if that will help)

My daughter ate cooked chicken that was left out for 8 hours. It had been refrigerated prior and was left out in an air conditioned home. Do you think she will be ill and if so, how soon? Not very happy about this.

I used to eat shrimp a lot without problem but here in the past year, shrimp and scallops make my throat feel like it is swelling shut. Is this imagined? I stopped seafood for a while but had some crab legs last night without problem. Is a seafood allergy all seafood or could it be limited to shrimp and scallops? Is this all in my head?

I am going to an old school beacuse my new school isnt finished yet. The school is very old and moldy. On the first day of school my throat started hurting. It hurt the whole week. My mother thought it was a cough so i took medicine but it only got worse. I cough at least every 4 minutes and this week my nose started running and i started getting headaches and my throat felt like it was closing up. I have been going to school since August 20. I'm just wondering could this get very serious and what illness i could get from being exposed to the mold for so long. Help me please!!! I can't take it much longer. I feel horrible.

Before I had allergy desensitation shots, I was allergic to the smell of skunk. It would burn like fire and I would break out in hives and lose my voice. I was afraid that I ever ran over a skunk with the car that my throat would swell shut. Does anyone else have allergy problems with skunk smell?

I love eating jackfruit. Or so I did, before I began having allergic reactions to it.

At first I thought it had to do with eating frozen jackfruit, but during the summer I ate some fresh ones and that came out 10x worse; my lips were a little swollen and my throat puffed up a lot.

What the heck is in jackfruits that's triggering the allergy, but I can't seem to find a source with answers. I mean, I ate it before and never got any reactions. Erg!

i am allergic to ALL raw fruits and vegtables. i am also allergic to most trees and grass and dust and animals. i cannot walk through the produce section at the store, or even touch most raw fruits and vegtables. all of these things make my throat swell i have had these allergies since early childhood. i am almost 40 and benadryl no longer stops my throat from swelling.
what can i take instead?

With the allergy season in full swing, I thought I'd get some suggestions flowing for allergy medications. Please tell us what you have tried, what you currently use (if any), what's worked and what hasn't worked, and the good and bad things about each one.. If possible, give both a brand name and a chemical/generic name.

Claritin/Loratadine - doesn't work at all for me, but it's supposed to be non-drowsy. It's dirt cheap, however - if it works for you you can get a 28-day supply at a dollar store for $1 and it's the exact same thing - even the same manufacturer.

Airborne Seasonal Relief - tastes NASTY! Not good if you're on the go, as it takes a while for it to dissolve. It worked a little bit when the allergens weren't too bad, for example in early spring.

Chlortrimetron/Chlorpheniramine Maleate - this is my #1 choice, and what I currently use! The package says it may cause drowsiness, but I haven't noticed that. It works fast too.

Hi,

I am on ammocillian and i am getting bad side effects of really bad dioreah and nausia. I get tonsillitus frequently so i am always on it. I stop taking it after 48 hours as thats how long it takes for the sickness of the anitbiotices to kick in. Is this just a normal side effect of it ? By the way i am getting my tonsills out in 2 weeks so hopefully i wont have to take to much more of it.

My daughter is allergic to something but the Dr's cant tell me what it is. She has allergic reactions ranging from mild to severe, one landed her in the ER twice in one day with a swollen face and big reg welps all over her body. She keeps a cold for rediculus amounts of time with a lingering cough and stuffy nose that keeps her up all night coughing. When she awakes in the morning she is tired and sluggish. Her eyes have dark circles under them like she has a black eye thats been going on for a while. I wanted some advice on what to do because I HAVE TAKEN HER TO MANY DR's and they can't tell me anything. They just put her on Clariten, Singular, and a 5 day dose of steroids to calm her broncial tubes down. SHe has gone to a allergist who tested her for allergins and that was a big waste of time. All they did was up her dose of Zertec. I'm so over this and so is my daughter. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

near someone who has eatten a lunch containing egg .I am not talking about an egg salad or fried egg sandwich but for examole baked goods with egg in it.If you have an egg allergy could you let me know if you can eat products that contain cooked or baked with eggs.Many products in the grocery store contain egg so I was just intersted to know.Thanks for any input.

I have fire snot. It's hot and liquid and just flipping POURS out of my nose. I have blown my nose RAW. It hurts to THINK about touching it. Now my throat hurts (i'm guessing from drainage) My eyes are all puffy my throat itches. I'm so sad! What can I do? I've tried Clariton, benadryl, and nyquil. I've tried a steamy shower. I can't sleep and need to rest! I lay down (or stand or sit or hover-- anything really) and snot just pours out. Ugh argh! Someone give me the miracle cure!

i have severe allergies, and, as of this morning my allergy meds stopped working. so, for 8 hours today, i had to hold my hand to my nose because it wouldnt stop running! it felt like the faucet was left on in my nose, and clear watery snot wouldnt stop running out!

home remidies? my nose is raw because i wiped it so much today. ideas?

I have had hayfever for 2 weeks and the antihistamines are getting rid of the symtoms yet my nose is still kinda out of shape. Does anyone else have the same problem and what can I do? How long will it be before it's back to normal? My nose is red raw inside in one nostril.

i am not alergic to any animals, i dont suffer from hayfever, i am not alergic to dust etc

but the only thing i am alergic to is...very bizzare but ....kiwi

i cannot eat more than 1 kiwi within about 2 days or i can have severe rashes, for example a few months ago before i was aware of it i ate 5 kiwis in a day n when i woke up i had large pink/red blotches all over my body, within a few days they went.

anyway what r u alergic to???

I read somewhere that there is something like a protein allergy.. has anyone ever had the same problem? see ever time i eat anything with protein... i become nauseated, diaherra (gross I know) and makes me feel like i need to get some tums or something.. like having a flu and your body is trying to fight it ? Could maybe i have a protein allergy? is it real?
