I am going to an old school beacuse my new school isnt finished yet. The school is very old and moldy. On the first day of school my throat started hurting. It hurt the whole week. My mother thought it was a cough so i took medicine but it only got worse. I cough at least every 4 minutes and this week my nose started running and i started getting headaches and my throat felt like it was closing up. I have been going to school since August 20. I'm just wondering could this get very serious and what illness i could get from being exposed to the mold for so long. Help me please!!! I can't take it much longer. I feel horrible.
Thanks Alot!!!!

The worst a person at my school has gotten from the mold in the school is being in the hospital. They had to put an air purifier in the rooms she was in.

And yes i know there is mold because you can see it. There's mold on the floor ,on the wall, and on the ceiling. It's ridicoulous. Some of the mold are a grayish color, some are black, and some are green.

You need to go see a doctor about this. YOu cannot self diagnose these things so go see a doc. Yes mold can make you sick but unless you have proof that there is mold there isn't much you can but see a doc and get checked out. You do need to report your suspsicion of mold to your local department of health though so they can come in and investigate this. For now see your doc.

well there is really nothing you can do about it, other than switching schools. Try taking some allegra-d or claritin and see if that helps. You can always wear a respirator or mask. If you are allergic to mold and these are your symptoms I wouldnt worry, unless it gets worse. You could also try taking allergy shots from your dr. There must be an awful lot of mold in that school. are there other kids getting sick like you?

You need to get to a doctor!
Mold of almost all kinds is very dangerous to your health especially your lungs.I would take a small camera to school and take pictures of the ceiling and walls and floor .Make sure you get a picture to prove it is in your school. They could say it could be any ones ceiling or wall or floor. Then I would call the health department.
Good Luck!
