this year. He is severely allergic to tree nuts and they will cause him to have an anaphylactic reaction. Two weeks before school was to start I called the principal to inform her of his condition and told her his doctor said all teachers should be informed of who he is and aware of his condition. I also spoke with the nurse and his teacher. I expressed that he doesn't realize how dangerous the nuts are to him because he's only 5, but it was very important that other children not share food with him. On the first day a child did share with him. Chocolate candy, no nuts thank God. I seen the chocolate smears in his lunch kit. We pulled him out of school the following day. I am horrible at the home school thing, and he really wants to go to school to be with other kids. Do you think it would be okay if I put him back in and went and had lunch with him every day? Or is it too risky that someone will share on the playground? Serious answers only please, this is the life of my child.

I work in a school and after feeling fine in the morning, after a short time in my classroom, I start to feel really crappy. I don't know if it's allergies or stress or both. Is there any way to tell before I see my doctor? And can they figure out if I'm allergic to the building without needing to go in there and check?
Thanks! :)

I've been dealing with an all over body itch since Wednesday. I haven't changed my soap, don't have bedbugs, don't have food allergies, no visible rash except at times when it's hot or warm it comes out and my skin looks flushed and red especially after a hot shower. I went to the doctor and they gave me methyprednisolone a steroid i'm on the 3rd day and my primary doc said to stop taking it because sat night my lips were orangey and dry and yesterday as well now they are just dry not orangey anymore. Does anyone know why my lips would turn that color. Has that ever happened to anyone and could it be the medicine. I am going to see my primary tommorow and they will probably do blood tests. Any info anyone can give I greatly appreciate. Feel free to ask me questions.

I have symptoms of allergies: red eyes, dark circles under eyes, ear popping, etc. At one point I never cleaned my shower stall for awhile and soap residue accummulated for a long time on the walls. Is it possible I became allergic to soap? Is there a non-allergic soap I can use?

I have recently found that I have an allergy to toilet paper, and after using various wet brands, I have found that Izal toilet paper is the only product that seems to help. Although it has cleared up the soreness, it is extremely difficult to negotiate wiping with this type of paper. Any suggestions

I have recently been dealing with my first case of hives, been going on for about 6 weeks now, is overall better but randomly I get swelling for example of my bottom lower lip, "one" finger etc...
Is this random odd swelling of specific and isolated spots really just hives?? Kinda scares me....I think it's hives, just so odd, otherwise, I'm very healthy. Any serious input would be appreciated. I will be seeing the allergist for a follow up visit tomorow. He has already done two blood test and can't find anything I am allergic to. He said it will probably just go away in a couple of months. The odd swelling worries me, as well as the uncomfortable itchiness of the hives themselves.

i seem to have allergies alot. but its hard to tell if phlegm in throat is a kinda allergy. ive had phlegm in my throat for ohhh months. doesnt seem to bother me that much. sometimes, like today, it makes me cough alot like it wants to come up. also i sleep with a fan on. my allergies usually consist of just stuffy stuffy nose. i live in colorado, it gets really dry here...that could be another reason. i dont see any allergy medicine just for phlegm or stuffy nose. anyone know what i can take for just this sympom and what do u think about the phlegm in throat? also can you combine a multi-vitamin with airborne (safely, since it too has vitamins in it)? thank u for any and all responses.

I wake several times per night totally colgged and can only get relief by walking around and doing some bizare deep knee bends. Sometime facial massage of the sinuses helps. I do not have any other symptoms, no pain and there is almost never anything to blow out, just swelling closed. An ENT Dr just wanted me to get a CT and Allergy testing and perhaps do some horrible rod in my nose to remove over-growth? Any ideas? I am getting very tired of not sleeping. It may help to know that I am a 49 yr old woman with no history of allergies. Thanks.
