Cheese is made from milk, however, I'm not allergic when I eat it. When I drink milk, I'm lactose intolerant and have allergic reactions to it.

Check the cheese you are eating. is it real cheese or is it a cheese food. makes a difference.

I thought i was lactose intolerant, then i switched to Organic milk. I can now drink it without getting bloated & ill feeling. I have never noticed any ill effects with cheese either, but i dotn eat enough of that to matter maybe....

I have switche dto many organic foods & have found that my body is now feeling better and I have lost weight just by the switch to organic. The stuff that is in our food is scary nowadays... Good luck

Only thing I can think of is perhaps it's because of the extra "processing" that the cheese goes through before being edible. If you have been medically diagnosed as lactose intolerant, ask your doctor about it.
