Reason:- it has been confirmed that if I eat modified maize starch, or products with it in, then I am "knocked out" for an hour or more.
Foods with it in are Knorr, but not Colmans mixes, bread from some chain stores esp in France, IE Leclerc, Intermarche but not so far Marche U, many sauces etc.
I am also interested as to if anyone else is suffering from this.
It happens about 20 mins after ingesting, a heavy drowsiness occurs and then sleep, nothing wakes me.
Arousing is like coming out of anasthetic BUT slowly. If it is a heavy dose then lethargy and tiredness bring on real depression.

Last Thanksgiving, I went to my aunt's house and since she has a cat, I got an allergic reaction. I made sure to wash the stuff I came into contact with (my purse-bag thingy) and I left it in the computer room.

Two days later, there might be some remnants of cat dander in my computer room and it's making my nose twitch.

I need to know if there's a spray that helps eliminate airborne allergens because I don't feel like buying a $500 air purifier just to get rid of leftover cat dander.

I am not really sure what foods I am allergic to, or if i am really allergic, but sometimes my lip gets swollen. It will happen at the most random times. In the middle of meals, when i wake up in the morning, or just random times of days. Any ideas??

I just got back from visiting my family in south Georgia, where I grew up, and I noticed that there was a fine dust in the air, emanating from the local cotton gin, and I just wondered if that causes people to develop allergies. I never noticed that when I lived there, and I know that the peanut dust that hangs in the air isn't good for anyone, but peanut harvesting is mostly past now. And my six-month-old daughter and I were both sneezing like crazy. What do you think?

I am always feeling sick, my eyes are always watering, and I often have sneezing fits.

Most of my sneezing fits occur just as I wake up, right after I eat, going between classes (I'm a full time student), and just before I go to sleep.

Oh, and my eyes are ALWAYS watering, When I wake up, when I am sleeping, when I'm bowling, when I'm eating, ESPECIALLY when I'm talking, when I'm in class...

I'm probably allergic to oxygen, or breathing.

I change my clothes often, so it's probably not on my clothes.
I bathe regularly, so it's porbably not my hygiene.
I excercize and eat properly..

I just don't know, Is there a way I can take a blood test or something to see what is causing my symptoms?

I've had a stomachache the past 2 days (yes, on thanksgiving day), and the only common denominator in what I had to eat was a bowl of cheerios with 2% milk. Dad says that I've "grown out" of milk, but this is the first time I've had a problem. Also, I've had cottage cheese and parmesan and had no problems. Any ideas?

not exactly an allergy, maybe food sensitivity, these two taken together make me feel like my breasts or chest area, and waistline is swollen, it is really a miserable feeling. Also when I eat too much of these things it makes me crazy...well not actually crazy.

is this possible? I told them its because some enzyme is added to turn the egg into mayonaise that makes me allergic to mayonaise.

Because they have seen me eat an omelette fine, but i HATE maynonaise but they made me a sandwitch with mayonaise on it specially for me. And i felt bad not eating it because "i hate mayonaise" so i told them i can't eat it because im allergic to it.

Now when ever they make me sandwitches, they always make sure to sepirate the one without mayonaise on it from the ones with mayonaise. and i feel bad..

So is it believeable that i can be allergic to mayonaise but not eggs?

For example, a friend of mine had a mastiff. I pet him then my arms would itch like crazy. Another had a great dane and nothing. Both breeds have very fine hair.

Same thing with someone's chihuahua. No reaction but when I hug my llasa apso (spelling??) my arms get a slight rash.
