There are no medications given for food allergies. The only advice that doctors give you is don't give that food. Now they may prescribe you an epinephrine (Epi) pen just incase they go in shock at school. I just don't give my oldest peanuts and he doesn't have an allergic reaction. Now dr will give rx/med for allergies like seasonal.

I'm allergic to peanuts and there is really no medicine avaliable to help. Alert your son's teachers, school nurse, and definately make him carry an Epi pen. It can save his life. Also- a medic alert bracelet or necklace, (there are many forms of them) would be a good thing for him to wear.
