There is a lot of eczema and asthma in my family. Goats milk helped prcatically rid my dad of his symptoms, whilst I only had partial improvement. Others have seen no improvement at all. So what I am saying is the only way to find out if it works for you is to try it...;

Listen to Katherine M.
The lady is spot on. She knows what she is talking about. I have an allergic daughter too. It doesn't help asthma but it is better for asthmatics than cows milk. A lot of people have allergy to cows milk, not many to Goats. When you have your attacks keep your shoulders down and relaxed. A friend or parent gently massaging the neck and shoulders will give some extra relief from the tight chest feeling. Try drinking fizzy lemonade. This sounds crazy, Belching or burping will relieve the stress in your abdomen and allow a bit more relief for your tight chest. Don't eat chocolate. It is full of cows milk and it often gets overlooked as a cause of an attack.

Goats milk is suggested for asthma, because for many individuals, there is a concurrent allergy to cows milk protein. My second daughter had horrendous asthma from age 2 and she was drinking cows milk. My third child started showing allergy symptoms (eczema) when I started weaning him to cow milk (nursing) and the pediatrician told me to take him off cows milk products since they think cow milk proteins and asthma are related... and switch to goats milk. His eczema was under complete control this way. He is now 14 and has not developed asthma. My daughter's asthma improved after stopping cows milk, but she will not drink goat milk.

I'm asthmatic too, as a child I couldn't tolerate cows milk or goats milk, but was okay with sheep's milk. Now I can tolerate any dairy as long as I'm not in a crisis.
I don't think its meant to help I think it just doesn't cause as many allergies as cows milk.
Have you tried singing lessons? There are new studies showing that learning to sing can strengthen chest muscles. While this isn't offered as a cure it is meant to help sufferers a great deal. The only published results are with children but lots of adults are trying it now too!
You have my sympathy!

Hmmm; interesting! I was raised on a dairy goat farm & none of us had asthma. Still, we were also very into nutrition & we never heard of goat's milk being used as a treatment for asthma, so I'm skeptical...

I don't think so. Asthma is a symptom caused by allergy.
Watch out if you are allergic to animal byproducts.
For example - lanolin, which is sheep's fat is a good emollient. However, a lot pf people are allergy to it and have a skin rash after using it.
