That is a severe sinus infection. Which means it's just getting worse. You need to see a doctor and if you don't have insurance this is what you can do. I know because I get sever sinus infections all the time.
First you want to get a decongestant like Advil sinus, or sudafedrine. You can even use Claritin. This will clear up the passage ways and clear up the throat. Stay away from saline sprays that go up your nose, this causes irritation and often hurts or burns because of the alcohol.
Secondly you want to use steam to open up air ways because chances are you can't breath well. Add some vapor rub to boiling water and breath it in. This helps too.
*If you have a doctor go see them because perscribed drugs are better than OTC drugs.

At this point you probably need antibiotics if it's already lasted a week. Your throat swelling is you lymph nodes that are fighting the infection. Nose bleed happen when you are blowing the nose a lot. Mucus should be clear and if it's coming out, you have too much. See the doctor to see if you need antibiotics.

Swollen throat and coughing up mucus? It's not just sinus. If you also have a fever or if the junk you cough up is green or yellow, you should see a doctor. Otherwise, give it a couple of days and if you get worse, or are not better, see a doctor.
Oh.... a sinus infection is normally bacterial and you need antibiotics to get well. Only a doctor can prescribe then in the U.S.
Best Wishes,
Sue

Did your doctor diagnose you with a Sinus Infection?
Sinuses can become blocked during a viral infection such as a cold, and sinus inflammation and infection can develop as a result. One key distinction between a cold and sinusitis is that cold symptoms, including a stuffy nose, begin to improve within 5 to 7 days. Sinusitis symptoms last longer and get worse after 7 days.
There are two types of sinusitis: acute (sudden) and chronic (long-term). With chronic sinusitis, you're never really free from symptoms and always have a low level of sinusitis symptoms.

I have kind of the same thing. Except I'm not blowing blood out of my nose. You might wanna consider going to the doctor if the bleeding is really bad.
But in the mean time what is working for me is Sudafed PE Severe Cold because it pretty much works on all parts of your respiratory system.
If you pick up the Suda-Care Shower Soothers, too, they really work to loosen everything up so you can get it out.

I have had terrible, chronic sinus problems and nose bleeds for years. My doctor has tried several prescription medications and sprays. It seems that all of them work for a few days or weeks and I go back to where I started. He recently told me to try a non-prescription item called Ponaris oil. I have been using it for a week or so and it really seems to help. Give it a try.

Get some sea salt and golden seal tincture and add a few drops of the tincture and two tablespoons of sea salt in 1 cup of water and take a bulb syringe and rinse each side of your nose with it.
I have tried this and it worked for me. I had strep throat.
