They say the cure for cancer is being kept hush-hush becuase all the big companies that make billions of dollars from cancer research would go out of buisness as people would simply take the cure vs spending thousands of dollars on treatment.

What do you think?

Does anyone of you are required to take antibiotics before each dentist appointment? I have a minor heart murmur, and my physician signed off the release form as it is okay for me to take them. I didn't see her personally at the time (I had no appoitment because she was busy and the receptionist helped me to get the release form filled.

I just saw a cardiologist for the first time and she laughed about the antibiotics. She says that there is no reason for me to take them. She also said that I had nothing and she just dismissed me because according to her, I am too young (I am 26) to have any serious heart condition. I didn't like her too much because she didn't seem to be serious for many reasons. According to her, my blood pressure was fine (she was so fast to check it), although when the nurse checked my blood pressure 10 min ago, it was 110/86.

My dentist insists that I would use antibiotics every single time I come in, although I would rather not do so, it it's unncessary.

They say there's already a cure for AIDS/HIV, but it's being kept hush-hush because they feel it would encourage more people (especially teens like me) to have unprotected sex without fear of any type of consequence and that a cure might contribute to overpopulation as millions upon millions of people who would have died, will now live. What do you think?

I need to know if there is a product I can use over the counter that can get rid of moles I have a bunch I would like toget rid of, but the only one the doctor wil remove is the only one changing colors I have about 2 dozen all over my body. Most of the moles are on the same excat arm that the changing mole is on. I am scared. I was wonderingif I can get rid of them at home safely with no concerns of Malignant Melanoma. Keep in mind I am going to make her get rid of as many as I can, but could I do something at home to get rid of the rest? Thank You!

My friend has been to the doc b/c a little over a year ago she had a small patch of scaly skin. The doc said it is a fungus because she always put her wet hair in a ponytail and then puts on her scarf to leave her house everyday - basically the skin isn't breathing and has all that moisture there...you get the picture. Ok so all they can tell her is it's a fungus. It's gross. It's dandruff x 10,000. It's like scales. It's encompassed half of her scalp and her hair has thinned a bit - you can't see the scalp through the hair or anything like that. But she says her hair falls out easily. She can sit and pick at her scalp and pick off tiny chunks - small like the head of a nail - and thick. So does this fungus have a name? The stupid docs haven't really told her b/c they aren't sure I guess. I told her I'd ask here to find out more if possible.... anyone know anything?

i understand iron def anemia (low iron leads to low amt of hemoglobin, so the reserves are used up and then your circulating hemoglobin diminishes), but i still dont quite understand why it would cause bleeding. Is it because there is a larger gap between erythrocytes and/or hemoglobin so blood cannot clot as well, hence more bleeding?

I got my blood pressure checked a little less than a year ago and it was slightly above average, so I didn't worry about it. Recently it seems I've been sweating more than usual and my face has been getting really red. Also, after exercising, I get a little nauseous, even if the work outs not to intense. Could these be symptoms of high blood pressure?

I'm 20 and have IBS. Occasionally I get mucus in my stool, or feel as if I need to go to the toilet but only pass mucus. Usually this is when I'm stressed or anxious, but today I have the flu and this is happening. I'm just wondering if viruses can make IBS worse or cause a flare up?

Hello,
I have a dog who is around 10 years old and she has a fairly big lump on her stomach. Sometimes it bursts (with fluid), although it always grows back.

What could it be? A cyst? Cancer?..

Fibromyalgia affects the muscles and joints and can be a very painful, and sometimes disabling illness.
Not all Doctor's recognise Fibromyalgia and i would like to know what experiences you have had with your doctor and what medication you are receiving.
Also how did you get it, was it through a major illness or some sort of trauma in your life?
