They say there's already a cure for AIDS/HIV, but it's being kept hush-hush because they feel it would encourage more people (especially teens like me) to have unprotected sex without fear of any type of consequence and that a cure might contribute to overpopulation as millions upon millions of people who would have died, will now live. What do you think?

Cancer. Aids may be fairly pervasive, especially in Africa, but it can ultimately be contained and eliminated if people will just get educated.

Besides the obvious answer given above, that HIV is passed via preventable measures, it would only make sense logically to cure cancer. There are far more people suffering from and dying from cancer than there are of HIV/AIDS. From a strictly humanitarian POV, more suffering would be eased and more lives saved with a cancer cure rather than an HIV cure.

Do you really think that if a cure for AIDS/HIV was invented they wouldn't be using it??? Okay so lets have millions of people die from something even though we have a cure sitting on the shelf that will save their lives.

I would rather there be a cure for cancer because AIDS could be stopped by merely observing safe sex practices, whereas it is difficult to specificly do anything to prevent getting most types of cancer (except a few varieties).

If there could only be one I say let it be cancer.Cancer isn't a disease passed on through choice or by choice.Whereas AIDS is.The choice not to use protection in the form of condoms is ignorant and can lead to a slow and painful death or worse a pregnancy where the child also has HIV or AIDS...
Cancer isn't passed through stupidity or by choice.SO if there could only be one let it be a cure for cancer.
