Yes, if you don't mind your taxes tripling. Cigarettes draw over 76 Billion dollars a year in tax revenue in sales alone. You also have to think about the thousands of people that are employed, growing tobacco, making cigarettes, trucking cigarettes, and selling cigarettes. People will get them and smoke them wether they are banned or not, just like marijuana, so why punish the whole country?

I'm all for banning smoking but our country has tried to ban alcohol before it just started illegal activity. Banning smoking would just do the same thing. Drugs are banned but people still do them and law enforcement can do nothing except make longer rap sheets for users

Yes, smoking in the sense of cigarettes. Due to diseases it can cause it should have been banned a long time ago... and I'm not sure why it's not. I don't believe that anyone is too addicted to stop and the whole nation could use a transition.

No, the cultivating, buying and selling of tobacco products is not illegal. I cannot believe that smoking has been and is being banned. I don't smoke, but I support your right to do so.

They should but they wont because like most Govt they get revenue from taxing them. Basically the money is more important to them than the health of the people.

Smoking kills, we all know that. Now, I believe smoking should be legal however, I believe that smokers should have higher insurance premiums and higher taxes on their cigarettes. If the smokers what to put them selves at risk for heart disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) then let them. I for one, DO NOT want to pay their hospital/doctor bills with my insurance premiums and tax dollars.

Some say that smokers are job security for us respiratory therapist. I say there is plenty of work for RTs with out all the COPD patients out there.

If smoking is banned then you have to ask yourself what else will be banned?

Maybe they will be after your vice next - maybe sugar or caffeine.
