I got my blood pressure checked a little less than a year ago and it was slightly above average, so I didn't worry about it. Recently it seems I've been sweating more than usual and my face has been getting really red. Also, after exercising, I get a little nauseous, even if the work outs not to intense. Could these be symptoms of high blood pressure?

Actually, given that you had already confirmed medically that you have experienced a slight elevation in your blood pressure, the question you should be asking is if the elevated blood pressure might be a symptom of something else.
Since the elevated blood pressure is already confirmed a little less than a year ago, now we need to add increased sweating and facial flushing. And of course, the nausea experienced after mild exercise.
First off...whatever else you glean from answers in this forum, you need to consult with your physician. Individually, these symptoms may not be such a big deal, but most definitely the collective of two or more is certainly pointing to a problem.
When two or more symptoms combine to induce a negative outcome, chances are you are experiencing a significant and adverse health event. In your case, you should be concerned about possible cardio or vascular disease. The good news is that if these symptoms are relatively new, you might be looking at the onset of a disease process and consulting your doctor right away could forestall a more dire outcome.

High blood pressure usually has no symptoms...unless it is extremely high. I too get nauseous after I work out and I think that has more to do with you having low blood sugar.

These are some possible symptoms of high blood pressure:

Headaches, especially pulsating headaches behind the eyes that occur early in the morning.
Visual disturbances.
Nausea and vomiting

*If you are worried you should definitely check your blood pressure as often as possible and keep a record of it....usually there are blood pressure machines in any drug store, or any store where you can fill a prescription...so go near the area where they sell the drugs.

I would like to answer all your questions...but I have alot of concerns. I was very healthy and was a a good weight, exercised almost daily and worked out with weight.watched what I ate. My mother passed away in 2010 and I moved into her house to get it ready for sale..alot of work. In the meantime with the change in nroutine, the fact I had just lost my mother and the fact the house I was living in was like an open house with family, friends, painters, sub contractors, realtors and the of course all the showing once it was listed..well lI quit excersising and started gaining weight...fast forward to 2016. I have gained weight, quit working out, and just work alot....no I have high blood pressue. After a year and a half on linsopril and water pills Dr took me off it because my renal panel didnt' come back so great. The water pills are what kept my blood pressure low and the water weight off of me...so they told me to track it for a week and three days after going off the water pills my blood pressure has balooned. Last night it was 164/95. So I call them and tell them my readings..they tell me to come in and of course after sitting in the Dr's office for 15 minutes watching TV I began to really realax. First off they forgot about me..second off the office closed betwen 12PM and 1PM and someone delivered luch which everyone was excited about. by the time they took my blood pressure it was 142/82 a big drop from 164/95....they didn't seem to care, the woman was a nurse I never met and was rude and condensending. Why do they want me to track my blood pressure if they don't see real readings..and why do they care. So I am taking two linsiprils a day..why is it still 142/82 and the symtoms of really high blood pressure was present before I went in..flushed face, feverish and the thought of food made me sick. So no Dr ever talked to me, the Dr;s nurse I usually see didn't talk to me and the nurse that took it acted like she didn't believe my blood pressure was that high...I know this is long..but why don't health care providers care?

a little above average is nothing to worry about owr blood presure goes up and down all through the day and it will be higher if you have it taken at the docs because your not relaxed, you cant see blood preasure,it sounds a like a bit of anxiety, why dont you get a monitor so you can take your blood preasure at home when your relaxed,if you are worried go to see you doctor and tell him the symtoms you feel more at ease you do worry about these things,i dont know how old you are but i rearly dont think it is anything serious,if he is worried he might send you to go on a treadmill or give you an ecg at the surgery
hope everything is alright

They do sound suspicious. Blood pressure checks are free and many stores have machines inside for you to use too.
Please get your pressure checked, as they call high blood pressure "the silent killer."
PS- I just got diagnosed with HBP, and now take a single pill in the morning and feel loads better.
Good luck.

Thery could be but I have had high blood pressure for 6 years and Ihave never had those symptoms but better to get it checked. You can go into your local asda and if they have a chemist there is normally a machine that does your weight and measures your bloodpressure for £1. I use that to keep a check on things.

You need to see your Dr. ASAP and tell him/her your symptoms and get thoroughly checked. It's either that or wind up in the emergency room & be checked there.
BTW, 30% of 1st heart attacks are FATAL!
