He is referring to the withdrawals of nicotine. Cannabis is not physically addictive so you could stop smoking that at anytime without withdrawls. Just leave the weed out of it until you have had the baby. "Sorry I didn't clarify, I don't smoke cigarettes so weed is the only thing I've ever smoked in my life. It would be easy for me to quit, so I just wanted to know if I really needed to if there's a risk that if I stop it will hurt the baby" No it won't. Your doctor is dead wrong. Nor you or the baby are physically dependent on weed because it is impossible. You can stop right now. There's an idea. You can smoke again afterwards. @Scar's Mama Cannabis is a drug, and tobacco is a drug. Because cannabis is a plant doesn't mean it's healthy. I can't believe you would use that as a justification for smoking while pregnant. Tobacco is a plant too. There are too many poisonous plants to mention. @Jasmin Cannabis csn be psychologically addictive. Anything can. You feel as though you need it but there are no harmful repercussions if you stop. It will not hurt the baby to quit using it. That is a demonstrable fact. You are welcome to look up some medical studies. We are talking about withdrawals here remember.

Biggest reason cigarettes are "better" is because they are still LEGAL... unless you are under 18, you can't get into any trouble for smoking a cigarette (as long as you don't smoke in a public place)... you get NAILED if you try to light up a joint in MOST places you still can smoke cigarettes. Other then that, the medical evidence STILL is inconclusive on Marijuana... although I DO know a few people who were POTHEADS in the 60's and are still potheads now. Back in the 60's, these guys seemed very intelligent and now their minds seem to be more MUSH then intellect... not sure if that was from all the continual pot smoking or that they just got dumber with age...or maybe they just weren't all that smart way back in the 60's and I grew up and they didn't?????

I think smoking marijuana is better for you in some peoples ways of thinking it is grown naturally. You never hear people talk about second hand smoke on marijuana only on cigarettes. So see Mary Jane is much better for you!!!!

Latest news reports in the UK say that smoking 1 joint causes more damage to your body than 7 cigarettes.

I guess it all depends on how you smoke it.
If you mix your weed with tobacco, then of course it's not healthy.
Smoking pure bud without mixing it with tobacco is actually a lung cleanser IF smoked in moderation, but if you're smoking formula (hard stuff),then all the chemicals that go into making that aren't healthy.

Many years ago there was a medical report that indicated 1 joint held the same tar levels as a pack of cigarettes.

Nope, smoke is ash and it'll coat your lungs regardless.

MJ smoke might be better due to the fact that there are fewer chemicals in it than cigarette smoke, but it's still not "good" for you.

well, neither are really "good" for you, but yes, I would agree that pot is better. Think about it, it is a fresh herb that you can either smoke or cook with. It's not processed nor does it have a million chemicals, tobacco is wacko! Now it's time for a ciggarette!

That's like asking which poison is better, arsenic or cyanide. Cigarettes can be deadly, and have been attributed to heart and lung diseases and various forms of cancer. Mary Jane is just as bad, with the added "plus" of possible drug addiction. My advice? Forget both of them....
