i was on toprol xl 50mg for extra beats wasnt helping so then my dr put me on atenolol 50mg twice a day 100mg total..that also isnt helping much.one reason it isnt cause like a few hours before im suppose to take the next pill i start feeling the pounding again so i was thinking maybe toprol xl at the higher dosage would be better since it last longer.correct me if im wrong,do you think this would be better for me based on what i said going to toprol xl 100mg or higher instead of atenolol twice a day which i dont think can go any higer then i am right now

I ate tops' recalled burgers(recalled for ecoli) had bad stomach pains for about 10 days. Dr's never figured out exactly what was wrong with me after numerous tests. Severe pain ended a week ago and I feel fairly normal today. Could I still test for ecoli and if I had it a week ago would it show up? If this is what I had I'm looking to make tops pay for medical bills incurred.

OK, so I started seeing this girl. And I really really like her. Like, a lot. I slowly feel myself following in love with her...

But... she has herpes. Said she'd respect any limits I care to place on what we do, etc... She's had it awhile, takes medication for it, always uses protection, hasn't had an outbreak in a very long time, etc... None of her previous partners have caught it (partners she was with for a year or more).

Does anyone have experience being with a partner with herpes (and NOT catching it)? Normally, this would be an instant dealbreaker. But I really adore her. Obviously we could only do "safe" things (ie: no intercourse, mostly just manual)... but I wouldn't want her to feel like I was always keeping her at arms length. In time, that could cause major emotional problems.

Experience? Advice? I like her so much, and don't want to break it off. But if I'm going to break it off, now would be the best time before we get more attached.

Thanks!

I ask this question because close relatives of mine noticed that their two year old developed a minor rash on her neck after eating her first peanut butter sandwich. They took her to an allergist who diagnosed her with a peanut allergy which, of course, means that she will be unable to eat so many foods that children routinely enjoy. In thinking about it further, it seems to me that in my generation (I'm 45) people knew one or two kids in an entire school who had peanut allergies, and a small handful who had dairy allergies. These days, with every rash after a meal, alarmed parents take their kids to an allergist, who, as sure as rain, diagnoses some sort of food allergy, that will, of course, require his attention for years. Am I completely off base to think that something other than a true diagnosis is often at work here? (I understand that some kids can actually die from a peanut allergy, but wonder if this, and other allergies, are being widely over-diagnosed).

heavy smoking destroys the pseudostratified ciliated epithelum lining the trachea. Speculate what might happen if these cellsare replaced by nonciliated epithelium during the course of tissue repair?

Simple question; will the tingling and itching stop after a certain time? Two years, maybe? I'm at 1 year 5 months since I was infected by a female friend who assured me there was no need to use a condom. Yea I know I was stupid, I just need hope that the discomfort will come to an end.

I was talking to my doctor recently about how I feel before and during my period. My doctor told me that I "might" have endometriosis, but didn't really go into detail about what tests they can do to know for sure. She just seemed kind of like...we'll do something about it when you are concerned about it. It was strange. Anyway, I did some research on it, and I read that you have to have a minor surgery to diagnose it. Is this true? These are my symptoms...My periods are downright HORRIBLE! Before my period I get horrible cramps. They are extremely painful. Its often the worst pain I have ever had in my life, and nothing relieves them. My back also aches very bad, and it hurts to go to the bathroom. Not extremely bad, but its noticable. I am 25 and this has been going on since I was in my mid-teens. I have also had issues with getting pregnant, but have had no specific tests done yet. Does anyone have this that can give me insight? thanks!

I have a pretty large lump, about the size of a grape, right next to and under my nipple. I wouldn't really think much of it but every time I lean on something it hurts like hell. And I've been getting nose bleeds about 3 or 4 times a month. I don't have health insurance so I'd rather not drop a bunch of money on a doctor if it isn't anything serious.

doctor #2 - melatonin is not safe to use, use 5HTP instead
doctor #3 - melatonin is safe to use in small amounts like 1mg 2 times a week or 1/2 mg or so would be better.

Whenever I draw in a really long breath or deep breath I get a sharp pain on the left side of my chest, near my heart. Is it just growing pains, or should I get it checked out? I wouldn't normally care but its been going on for a few months or years now, can't remember.
