If a cancer started out as colon cancer, then spreaded throughout the body and now 70% of the body is surrounded by cancer, on average how many more years you have before dying?

I'm afraid there are no years to be had. At that stage you will be speaking of days, weeks or months at the very most. However, if you are a Christian then there is a greater physician who can give you 50 or more years.

I hope and pray you are asking a theoretical question. I will be praying for you anyway.

God bless

My husband was diagnosed with colon cancer and deemed terminal the same night. He made it five years, although the cancer spread throughout his body. The doctors could not understand how he kept going, but he said it because he wanted more time with me. We were only married two years when he passed, but they were beautiful.

It depends which organs and tissues have been affected by the cancer, and what treatment a person is receiving.

I would suggest the prognosis is not good if 70% was affected, I would have thought they'd already be dead! You can never put exact figures on exact cancer survival rates because it depends on so many things, including your genetics. I would imagine less than one, but dont take my word as gospel.

Impossible to answer this question. Do you mean without treatment or with treatment? My son was stage IV at diagnosis with massive tumors throughout the abdominal cavity, both left and right diaphragm caked with tumor, tumor on liver, in spleen, on large and small intestine, chest wall, lymph nodes, and spots on lungs. With 9 months of treatment and two surgeries he went into remission with no evidence of cancer left in the body. Because he had extensive peritoneal seeding we knew he had a high chance of relapse and were ready when it occured.

Cancer is deceptive and fast. You need to stay on top of treatment and keep the disease under control if you can manage. It is impossible to answer your question because no one knows if the cancer in question involves vital organs or blood vessels or is infringing on his ability to live. It is possible that the tumors are not obstructing major organs . . if they are still small. No one knows because tumors do not all grow at the same rate and may be different sizes withint the body. It is also possible to treat intrusive tumors palliatively with surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy to prolong life.

So, no one really knows, however, if the cancer is untreated it may not be years but down to weeks or days.

My grand pa had colon cancer but also prostate cancer. He underwent several surgery's in his old age. He passed away and was 91 years old. Now, I can't tell you how long it took for him to die off. But I am certain it wasn't a great disease to live with.

I'm very sorry to say this... but less than a year.
However, if extensive chemo-therapy is performed immediately, you can add a few years to your life, even though you'd be very weak.

Very unlikely! But at this time it's more like months not years!
