Lots of rest.
Plenty of fluids (water, juice, and Gatorade are especially good).
Take Tylenol/acetominophen for fever and aches; don't exceed the dosage in the directions!
If you've only had it a short time, contact your doctor NOW; there are medications which can help mitigate it (although they can't cure it) if you start taking them early!

Good luck, and feel better soon!

I wish i had a flue but can't afford gas central heating :(

If you have flu my grandmother still recommends aspirin, warm milk and a bottle of whiskey.

Sleep a lot, drink lots of fluids, especially water. Chicken soup seems to help a lot of people. And, generally just take it easy. Don't go to work. You are infectious. Everybody will hate you for making them sick.

Do you mean "have you got the flue (influenza)?". Depends on your symptoms. The typical symptoms include cough, fever, painful muscles, etc. If you have different symptoms, please IM me, and I may be able to provide more tangible advice.

You have a cold, not flu. If you had the flu you would be in bed sweating and shivering, feeling like you'd been hit by a truck, and wishing you could die and not asking inane questions here.

Additional to Lisa (first answer):
I gave the same answer to someone in the "Pregnancy" section who was asking if Lemsip was OK for the "severe flu" they were suffering. Last I looked I had about 9 thumbs down LOL!

Can you stand up?
Then you have just cold.
If you have to go to bed, then it is a flue.
Do you cough?
Is you cough catching something inside?
Then you have a chest infection.
For chest infection you need antibiotic.
Antibiotic has to get doctors prescription.
Take care.
