What does "Positive bowel gas" mean on an x-ray report?

X-ray says "Positive bowel gas" ... is that an emergency? What could it mean?

I'd like to add that there is no passing of gas or stool for an extended period of time for this person.

It means there are pockets of gas in your bowels. They would account for tummy pain.

Fortunately, the gas will be released - probably while you're riding a crowded elevator.

It means you have some gas in your bowels. That's normal. That's why you fart.
