why when people say they feel bad that some people respond "happyness is a choice", when they've never experienced true mental illness(anxiety, depression, bi polar, schizophrenia)For those who think you can decide how you feel, let me ask you this: can you decide if you have diabeties, cancer, autism? Mental illness is caused by a lot of body imbalances. the brain doesn't usually have chemical imbalances alone, there's something else causing it,usually. yes some people can change their chemistry by the way they think, but with severe mental illness, this is not the case. One example is zinc deficiency, another b12 and b6 deficiency, google them if you don't beleive me. and there are many more. so please if you hear someone say they're having a problem, just be supportive and don't say "it's your choice"

I have had the worst itching for MONTHS. I've been to doctors, been given TONS of prescription meds and NOTHING works. I don't have scabies, or an infection. It isn't an allergy. I'm not under any real stress. I've tried lotions, creams, antibiotics, antifungal meds, and nothing works. Why am I itching so badly? It's EVERYWHERE, and will not go away. I've even tried burning the skin with a lighter to make it quit itching, and it won't quit. Any ideas?

Now that I have your attention, I just recently had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and now I got two little blister like lesions on the inner lip of my vagina. I have been giving him oral sex unprotected as well, but haven't gotten any sort of sores in or near my mouth. Could these little red bumps possibly just be pimples or genital herpes?

I didn't eat anything red, such as red tomatos or red hot chesstos, or just anything extremly red. This proves that those were actually blood on my poop. And the poop appears to color; half light brownish and a small half red. It didn't hurt when i poop, but there were just blood on my poop. This is actually the first time it ever happen, and I'm sure it came from my butt hole and not anywhere else. Help! I'm scared if I'm haveing some kind of sickness that could lead me to the hospital then to death.

i have breast cancer and am being tested for possible cancer in the liver, i am wanting to take a leave of absence from school because of all the appointments and soon the treatment, they say i have to put in for leave in the first or tenth week of this phase, otherwise if i miss 8 days straight i get dropped or if i at least go once a week for the rest of my phase, which might be impossible, i could fail but could resume when all my treatment is done, i dont understand why i couldnt take the leave now because this is a severe illness

My 12 year old poodle was recently diagnosed with diabetes. He takes two insulin shots per day and is doing pretty good. However, he has now developed a terrible problem with his feet. They are red, swollen, and in some areas even look kind of infected looking. Could this be related to the diabetic condition?

I thought putting a bandaid on the situation was all I needed to do. I stopped drinking and thought I was eating the right foods. Well I cheated a little. Pancake here and a corn muffin there, the next thing I knew my sugar level was 290. I'm back on my boring menu. Egg whites and sala for breakfast, salad for lunch, and a regular meal for dinner.

Help me though. I need to snack on something healthy, any suggestions???

My son is 4 months old. When he was 2 days old he had 3 seizures all about 7 hours about. They said he was dehydrated and had low calcium. He spent 10 days in the NICU getting calcium supplements and being on Phenobarbatol. All the scans came back normal. He has an CT, MRI, EKG, Spinal tap, and tons of blood work. At one point his Parathyroid hormone level was at 256, they checked it a few days later and it was 14 so they thought the 256 was a fluke. Once he was a couple months old we noticed his eyes were alwasy moving, rapid eye movement in all directions. He also couldnt focus on anything. His nuerologist thought he was blind so he sent us to a opthamologist. He said he was not blind and his eyes are fine and that he may be crossed eyed. so by 3 months he was off the phenobarbatol and they were weaning him off the calcium. On July 26th his Fontanelle (soft spot) on top of his head was bulging. I was told to take him to the ER The did another CT, and MRI and found no fluid, no tumor.
